Is Microsoft posting fake jobs in India
I'm saying this because Microsoft has posted more than 240 software engineering jobs in India in just the last month, bringing the total to 547 software engineering jobs in India alone. However, despite this large number of job postings, I haven't seen a single new employee announcement on LinkedIn for any of these positions. Does nobody want to join Microsoft, or what?
Hiring takes time. There is lead time from a position getting posted to ramping up recruiting teams to review resumes, then interview candidates (a challenge in itself considering the scale of hiring and the bar maintained), followed by the offer process, and eventually the notice period which isn’t small by any means in India.
@BigMaui , i have a referral in MS Noida. Since past 1 month no update. I have cleared interviews with serviceNow, Amazon, 2+ startups. But Ms is not giving a shit. Which I care about.
Without knowledge of your specific situation the below is general advice.
Referrals do not guarantee an interview, until and unless your profile matches the role.
Random referrals definitely do not work. All they do is get your resume in the system.
The best referrals are where the candidate is referred in the truest sense of the word by someone who can vouch for them. In that case the person would have also reached out to the hiring manager getting attention onto the candidate profile. Even then, if your profile does not match the position requirements then it’s a no go.
I feel the same. I have applied for relevant 2-3 job titles.Trust me, my application status is not even changing from applied from 3 months. It's not even "under review" state.
I recently got interviewed at MS and reached till last round. However, after three weeks wait, I received a mail from HR that my Candidature is on hold. Not sure what does that mean ? My interviews went really well.
