Managers with 0 value addition

Managers who have zero value addition to your projects except constantly reminding you of timelines are the worst.

I have had a manager who has been bullish about the timelines of a 12 month long project. And has never contributed in any capacity. When I reach out to her for help, the high level responses are: “lets go deeper”, “lets be user first and figure out”. Is this appropriate?

Most of the managers are like this only. Very few actually care about you and your career. At the end, it’s all about whether you are delivering or not. Most managers out there seems to have completely forgotten about coding and all they know is to continuously blabber and give diplomatic answers to keep everyone happy.

They're not managers. They are not managing anything, except their own bosses' perception of them. They're glorious paper-pushers. They're pehredaars - kitne number hue? kitna growth hua? kab tak deliver hoga? number kyun nahi hue?

BC, ek baar tum bhi bata do kaise karne hain number!

Fir yeh lodu bolenge, arrey tumhare jaise smart logo ko rakha hi kyun hai?

When this happens - know that your boss is a lodu, but your bosses' boss is a MAHA 100x lodu, to keep a lodu around.
