Switching jobs in the current market

I have survived this round of layoff in PayPal b it I am pretty sure we are gonna be having another round by year end. In this current scenario I am hearing a lot about google and some specific companies opening positions for software engineering. What should be your recommendation in the current scenario Try to switch companies Or just stay back and be ready for interview prep Yoe 4.5

Stay back and prep up for interview! FAANG isn’t hiring anytime soon, prolly we will end up seeing more rounds of layoffs in coming months

Should I switch or not? Please help 🙏

Hello folks, I am working with a startup (now acquired by a big fintech) as FTE for 1.5 years now (Full stack dev) , my TC is 18 LPA (14.4 Fixed + Variable) in a permanent wfh model. The reason I want to switch is that my tech team is very small (4 people) and there is no senior person in my team from whom I can learn something, thus my learning has become stagnant technical wise. Should I try and switch company or stay in the same for more time, considering the current market scenario? PS: I am a 2022 graduate.

Why is it so hard to leave first company?

I joined TCS 3yrs ago and since then I couldn't switch. I am planning since last year March but actually not able to work on it. Even I couldn't apply actively. Currently I am involved in a role which has nothing to do with development and I feel bit less confident. So I want to know why it is so hard to leave? Does everyone feel same? Is this ecosystem somewhat responsible for this?
