I am entering mid 30’s looking for a membership for clubs to prepare for my 40’s. Any club recommendations?

20’s - 30’s are for pubs, 40’ are for clubs

20’s - 30’s are for pubs, 40’ are for clubs- Grapevine

I'm 23 and most of the clubs I saw only take in probably 5-15 years. However, I would like to play in a Sunday league as I love football.... (Maybe national team, getting way ahead but putting it out there)

Any suggestions for football clubs that take in 23 yos and play in some Sunday league?

Same as title. Have always seen advices for people in 20s. People in 30s also need guidance. 😐

Now, the answers to this question would depend if there are people in 40s on grapevine. 😬

People in 40s, what would you advise people in 30s?

Most of us on Grapevine, working in corporate sector might make decent chunk of money if we keep grinding for a decade or two but very few of us would have the social capital (or as they say “networking” in our corporate jargon).
Increasingly realising that the society respects the business owners or govt officers more than any senior leader in an IT firm. There is no social recognition for corporate folks. It might not be relevant for young folks as they still have some residual social recognition of the family for now, but what would happen after a decade or two. Most of the corporate “friends” are no longer in touch except for very rare ones. How does one build a social circle after 10-20 yrs in corporate? Would like to hear from folks above 40 yrs if they’ve had similar thoughts and how are they managing?
Also, What are some ways one can start building social circle overtime while doing a corporate job?

PS: I am referring social capital as having a certain level of stature in society alongwith deep connections with some people living around you who can help you in need or can expect something from you. This is different from LinkedIn networking where primary expectation is referrals.

Service Class has no social capital

My father is an officer in a PSU. Not sure what "respect" you are talking about because from what I've seen, PSU workers have a social capital only in their colony/settlement. Apart from that it doesn't really matter for outsiders.  
 Business owners are respected only if he/she is really really successful. Otherwise how often we see someone respecting a normal shop owner?? 
  
 To build your own social capital, participate in tech talks/workshops. Spend time mentoring folks. Participate in society functions/apartments as others have mentioned.

Title says it all. Most women I encounter these days like to get blackout drunk for some reason. 

Have had to escort quite a few to their homes occasionally too. 

Can't figure out why though, rarely seeing responsible drinkers in my circle and on dating apps. They're either completely teetotallers or heavy drinkers. Rarely in the middle.

Are there any groups for 30yr people who aren’t married?

Which club membership / loyalty programme do you find useful? There are some old school ones like Rotary, MCA, Koramangala club, gymkhana etc. Is there anything that’s useful to be a part of?

1. Parents getting old- you don't want to see your loved ones getting old 
2. Single earning member 
3. Staying away from parents sucks as they need us more now.
4. Paying rent 30-40% of total in-hand salary in metro cities. 
5. Less friends, even if you have more friends you don't want to express what you are going through. 
6. No emergency fund- Agar koi emergency ayi to dosto ko paise mangne padenge.
7. Job switch - As the market is unstable, so you're afraid to switch and get laid off.
8. You want everyone around you to be happy, as your happiness depends on their happiness. 
9. Unable to express what you are going through to people around you (wife, parents, friends, relatives etc)
10. Happy Wife Happy Life - You try to do things out of the box (which is beyond your reach) because it makes her happy. 
11. What about our happiness?

I'm going through this now. Sometimes I feel like I should talk to a person (who is anonymous to me and I'm anonymous to him/her) and express everything that is depressing me.

I was focusing on my career and just working - suddenly realised I don't have any good friends. I quit my job, in depression right now. I am also an introvert which makes it very hard for me to go to a public gathering. I also don't smoke/drink. How do I make new friends?

How do you make friends at the age of 33?

Friends are overrated, you dont need to. If you organically bond, good enough otherwise its fine. If you are married your partner makes uo for it for the most parts. 
  
 That being said to organically bond, you need to increase the surface area meaning you need to stumble into new people to make new friends.  For people like me its just colleagues and old school/college friends. 
  
 Anyhow at 33 you dont really make friends just acquaintance so its better to rebond with your old buddies which I am sure you must have lost touch with rather than finding new ones.
