The price is not put by swiggy but by the outlet. Yes swiggy charges a hefty commission but the figures you have put show the store also being greedy Talk to a food outlet owner or someone who uses swiggy on their store for god's sake Downfall had begun, really?

True... Everyone is the supply chain is adding markup . This has been going on for a long time. Zomato has been doing this for years.

People who crib about the prices, don't not order. How difficult is it to go a nearby fastfood centre and get atake away?. Nobody in the world is that busy. Not even Mukesh Ambani.

Why are people on internet always complaining about how a company who lets you select food from an app and delivers to your doorstep is asking extra money. If you have so much problem, go and buy it directly from shop.

Not everyone has easy access to restaurants or stores, especially those living in villages or remote areas. Ordering from food delivery apps can be the only practical option when the nearest store is miless away. If we could conveniently buy our food directly, we would. But for many this service saves time, effort, and even transportation costs. Also, it's easy to reply without thinking twice, bt higher prices should still have reasonable limits. If a small meal costs twice as much as the instore price, it's frustrating. While it's fair to pay for the convenience, there’s a point where added costs feel unfair. It's always good to consider these factors and understand why people raise concerns.

The menu charges are different online bc of 25% plus commission they take+extra if promoting to be on top list.

You can get rid of delivery fees by purchasing subscription. I have friends who have put their restaurants on these platforms and mostly are not happy. When customer raise complain about food spoil or bad packaging restaurants has to face cuts even if it's driver's fault.

On weekends i used to go with my friends to deliver to know how it all works. Even drivers are not happy with the wage they get & platform takes some % of commission from delivery charges as well. When they get even 10 rupees tip from customer they feel so good lol.

Note that usually the price of the food itself is more than what you get from the same restaurant usually becaus...

Swiggy issues

What's wrong with swiggy? Delivery failures faced by many friends, are they rolling back ops or scaling back or out of money to hire drivers? Does anyone know ?
