The worst jobboard: workday

Why on earth do I have to create a separate account for each company, remember password for each, fill in the same lengthy a** information for each despite uploading resume? Why would I fill in my info when my acceptance rate through this portal is less than a percent? (my own calcs) I want to understand what was going through people's mind when designing platform as such. My immediate reaction whenever I open a jobdescription with a redirection to workday is to f* close the website.

I don't even apply to companies using workday now. Workday in their defence says it is protecting applicant data leakage to competitors

Apart from this, they also have the worst engineering anyone could ever think of, like its purpose is to make only the most desperate people apply for the position. Having to type the whole skill, hitting enter, then it'll search for the skill and if it's there you can add it. And imagine doing this for 10-15 skills. WHY CAN'T THE SKILLS BE SEARCHED WHILE THEY ARE TYPED? Also the number box will glitch and take you 5 min just to enter your graduation year. There are word limits for everything, the formatting gets fucked up when you copy paste from your resume and the insaneeeeee loading time between each page. These are just some of the points I remember, fortunately I haven't used it for a long time. Seriously companies should know workday has the most dogshit website a person could ever come up with. If they want good candidates, they aren't gonna be filling up that trash.

True. I use an autofill extension for this shit still everytime there would be some newer shittyass fields which wont be picked up the extension so you will have to manually fill those. I dont even think companies would be going through these answers given they have the resume for that. I mean what good will it do to the company knowing my pet dogs name?

To all the companies who use Workday for hiring, as soon as I see a job link that redirects me to Workday - I close the tab, cuss a few words and move on. Nothing more painful in the world than trying to fill a candidature form on Workday

Have anyone got pissed off with the company portal's job application process?

Hi, Lately, I have been applying for jobs through LinkedIn, Glassdoor, career pages, etc. But out of all, the most irritating or tedious is to apply directly on the company's career page! 99 out of 100 times, our resume gets rejected, but to get there, how many details they ask! - Log in and verify the email - Upload the resume - Again, give personal details - Again, rewrite education details - Again, fill skill sets - Rewrite the same skills and experience from the resume to their portal - Tick marks! OMG Have you worked before? Or are you part of the military? Are you having a disability? Are you part of XYZ org before, etc., etc.? The list is endless!! I mean, why can't this be crisp with 1-page detail!? Min it takes 5-10 min to fill all these details and end up getting an email "unfortunately, we don't have the right opportunity for your candidature!" I don't know, not many are speaking about this! 😐

Workday is the digital version of hell 😣

I applied for a job which used workday. I created an account, entered all my work info and it took nearly 21 minutes to complete everything. I clicked Submit. 60 seconds later I receive the email saying "After careful consideration we regret......" My only wish is that the product team that created workday should end up in hell and they should be asked to apply for jobs that use only Workday. I can't imagine a cruel torture than this.

How is your experience with workdayjobs portal?

Hi fellow developers! During my college days, when I was on my job hunt I applied for a lot of jobs on the workday portal but have received no response till date. The same experience is shared by all my friends. I also used to ping the company folks on LinkedIn for referral but most of them won't reply and folks who replied were confused about the referral process at their companies. I wanted to know how is your experience with that portal and how hiring happens in these companies is it only on campus or what?

Workday Sucks!

How many of you just decide to quit applying for a company if the company’s recruiting platform is Workday? I’m just so frustrated. And irrespective of the size of the company, I’ve really quit the process right then and there if ever I see workday. This includes big companies like VISA, Walmart, etc. Is it just me or is it a common behaviour?
