After getting laid off, I have been talking to multiple HRs at different companies but the responses from them have been brutally slow. Are they trying to take advantage of my desperation or is there a hiring slowdown in India (irrespective of the numerous job openings I see everywhere)

somehow there are a lot of similarities between the current interview system and arranged marriage process. The following questions are asked in both the scenarios: What's your current salary ? Are you open to relocation ? How soon can you join ? Tell us about your background ? What are your expectations ? Do you have any other offers ? What are your future plans ? How would you deal with a certain situation ? Both these situations deal with the following: Talking to multiple people/candidates at once. Multiple meetings. Ghosting. Comparing multiple offers. Profile- 4 YOE, B.Tech from old IIT I started looking for new roles towards the end of June, and it took me approximately two months to get an offer letter. My skillset in a niche technical area helped me to get this offer. My advice to folks looking for a job, focus on your strengths and do not get discouraged. It's brutal out there, but you need only one job. Stay focused.

Everything was going smoothly but a leading real estate company had put him on PIP- as they over hired and had to cut employees. The past 6 months are tough, with 30+ interviews and no employment his confidence has taken a hit. What should he do to improve his chances of employment given he has 10 years of experience and 3 years in Power BI which is his course expertise? Is their a dearth of jobs in Power BI in Delhi or is his luck is to poor? Anyone seeing this post of could help with a role/referral/guidance would be helpful. It's very painful and tides have turned against him.

I am trying to switch since last 2 months using naukri, instahyre, linkedin and cutshort and have only gotten calls from WITCH companies and other small service companies. Is job market really that bad or do I lack the tech to get an interview at a decent product company? Does instahyre even work? Not a single call or view by recruiters I have almost 8 years exp and tech stack is java, rest API, kafka, weblogic etc.
