Is it a good idea to move cities right now

Background: I have around 7 years of experience. Right now doing WFH from tier-2 city and staying with family (Married so wife + my parents). My current job is good but politics and bad manager came into picture. I applied to few jobs and got an offer.

Current Situation: The offer I got is WFO (hybrid) from Bangalore so I need to move. Increment in terms of cash is 12.5% (they dont want to push more). RSU is good and they vest in 1 year directly. I estimate that house I require near my office (Kadybeesanahalli) will cost around 50-60k and rest budget of 50-60k. So I will save around 1-1.5L (50% will go to MF, stock etc)

Question: Is this a good decision to move and settle there ? New org is a reputable one and has stable job as of now

Note: I am not including my wifes salary as she still needs to search a job

Why don't you share your offer details? Why talk in x, y, z.

I wont share company name, but it could be back tracked to my identity. But can share numbers

Current org: Publicly traded company in US
Base: 36 LPA Bonus: 4 LPA (variable) Sticks: 20K USD (vesting 4 years, so got 1/4 of them)

New offer: Fintech Base: 40.5LPA Bonus: 4 LPA (fixed) Stocks: 35K USd (vest 1 year)

Doesn't look too much of a hype to switch cities. Look for more offers on notice period maybe ? Accept offer, lie about a longer notice period and search more jobs.

If RSU is good you should move, a bad manager is not worth it.

They are not listed on stock market but selling happens on private boards. So their rate is stable biggest plus is vesting in 1 year And value is near to 90% of my salary (meaning if my salary is X, I get RSU of about 0.9X extra)

Then it's almost a 100% hike over your current role

One should not move to Big city unnecessary. The Spending only eat all of ur hike percentage. It's better to be at home. Colleges offices doesn't matter much in life but family does.

Nah stay there only. Why relocate to Bangalore If you are earning a decent amount and living with your family happily.
