Entitled Tech Bros

There has been a huge influx of posts dissing roles like Product, Marketing, HR etc. by Techies. Every other post, or comment is made by them undermining the value of other depts and these cuties think business runs just by their sub-par code. I understand that their delusion stems from the fact they get paid huge salaries by loss making companies. Which is bound to crash sooner or later. Rant over.

Ranting. Just read a post about how a super-human struggled with the interviews and finally got an offer from Bigtech. That super-human wrote a whole damn essay on it and received 30000 likes. I knew it would upset me if I read the whole thing but they did it anyway. Now, I’m depressed. I have removed all 14 of my connections who liked and commented on this post. Any other workaround to cure my depression? CTC: 30LPA

People in tech are in over their heads. There’s been an unsustainable inflation in salaries and somehow 20 somethings have actually started believing their skills are worth what they’re making I speak to so many engineers who just with two years of experience are making 30-40 LPA packages. They actually believe they are better than people in say banking who make the same salary after 15 years of grinding it out. It’s all supply-demand. Supply will soon catch up to the demand. Salary normalization will happen. Your salaries may not grow for years if you don’t personally grow as well in skill set and become more valuable overall. At the least, don’t have an attitude about how much you make. Stay humble. Enjoy the good times while they are still here

Had a query, went to a tech lead and boom, That haryanvi tau went bonkers on me, talked to me in a typical haryanvi accent, told me untidy the very clean code that I wrote using some design pattern that I learned in my previous company, because they apparently follow no conventions, so no new practice is welcome here, went on to mansplain me a hypothetical scenario where my method won't work. Ok bro, These kinds of people in tech are scum on the face of earth, don't wanna grow and won't let anyone else grow and learn. As I work more and more, I feel I am a shit developer. How to improve. Tries to solve leetcode, regrets picking the profession. And tries to do application development, don’t even know what to code. How to get out of this hell hole

I am in 2nd year in college pursuing computer science..so far most of the time i do competitive programming and sometimes web development..i am working hard but because of the never ending depressing posts on LinkedIn and blind about layoffs and recession plus no hiring in big tech..i feel that all my hard work will be not worth it in future..also the people have made this wonderful field a joke by this standup comedians who joke about engineers every time.........i really want to contribute to this society and earn great amount of money as well but the hope is decreasing day by day.. What should I do😔😢?

I'll be joining Navi next month as a fresher. Just heard about the layoffs. How should I proceed in this startup. Should I start preparing for new opportunities or wait almost a year ( if they don't layoffs) for future opportunities? Company is doing good at financial terms I guess. Confused kindly suggest all opinions are appreciated?

I read the glassdoor reviews and it says a bootlicking, inexperienced management and very bad work life balance. It also says good growth and good pay. I try to stay optimistic and ask folks at Navi as to what is the ground reality. Can you share instances of what is the work culture or just give your reviews?
