3 months notice period

I joined as a fresher and my company has a policy for 3 months notice period. I am planning to switch, but 3 months seems too much. If anyone has any past experience, would be a great help. YOE: 2

I worked at a SaaS, where I was in similar situation but fortunately I found a loophole wherein the notice period was only 1 month till probation. So I worked my ass off and switched 2 weeks before my probation end. Try to talk to people who you know (eg, your college seniors) on LinkedIn and have made a switch from the same company. Ask them how they did it and get tips. That's what I did.

Resign and then start applying. We rarely prioritise people who have 3+ months of notice period unless it’s for a fairly senior position and the individual has been headhunted. If you’re confident in your abilities, it’s still very much a employee’s market in my opinion. Provided you are competent in your domain expertise

You can always talk to the HR and try to reduce the Notice Period served. At my company there is a 2 month notice period. Though we can always serve 1 month or even 1 week or 1 day, depending on the situation and if the HR is considerate enough.
