MBA for growth?

How important is it to get an MBA for an overall network and growth perspective? I have an experience of 3 years at a series A startup, I now feel my growth flatlining. Would it be better if I go for an MBA or if I go to a different startup?

I work as a PM in a B2B SaaS startup and have an overall 4 years of experience all of which is in product management. Now, feeling a stagnant in growth and salary. I was wondering if I should try for an. MBA from IIMs or ISB? My current package is around 36 LPA. I do not want to change my field and I like being a PM. Then does MBA make sense for me in long term?

Working in the Founder's Office of a FinTech startup presently. I have an admit from ISB for next year (Co'25). I want to get into a Chief of Staff role at growth stage startup eventually, and with 3-4 additional years of experience, I should be able to do so. Wondering whether ISB can fast track my path, and considering if it's a good investment financially. Views folks?

People, who gone through the journey of GMAT, tier-1 MBA college India or US, how do you assess whether or not to join a early stage startup right after college, does it affect chances of getting in? keeping in mind I don't come from engineering background or tier-1 college. Also, where did you study for GMAT? I gave it once after prepping for a year to score around 650. Any recommendations?

Should I go for MBA in top 10 b schools india like IIMs, XLRI, SPJAIN, etc So a little background about myself. I graduated in 2023 from a tier college and managed to get an off-campus job in an investment bank as an SDE. My current salary is 24LPA. Would it be beneficial for me to do MBA from the above mentioned colleges Like would the placements there be better than what I have currently? Also if I can save enough money in 2 years would a MBA in US in a top 20 uni be better than MBA in IIM? I will be going for further studies sometime in 2025 or 2026. My main goal is to improve my salary and build a network. I have also managed my own dev agency and did freelance projects in the past 4 years. Overview: Everyone around me, be it old school friends to the people in the bangalore startup ecosystem are planning to or already in the process of doing an MBA. What is happening: Most of the people I know, either are going for a tier 1 MBA in India or colleges like “Carnegie Mellon”/ “INSEAD”/ “NUS” these are really good places. Why am I concerned: I dont have great acade, GEM candidate so I have decided to not pursue CAT at all, and MBA outside India is too expensive. I feel like my job and career are going fine with 4 years of professional experience I am making 25LPA in marketing. I am not keen on doing an MBA but I dont want to regret later. I consider myself to be fairly smart but what happens when I am competing with people who have great brand names on their resume and are actually smart. People on GV with more experience, have you gone through this struggle? Sidenote: I also have friends who have cleared IIM ABC, ISB and not gone, because they just wanted the admit letter. Which is brave lol!

I want to move abroad in most likely hood and I was pondering if I should go for an MBA. You'll know my dilemma at the end. Worked at 2 orgs in similar space Acads BTech from tier 3 college 9.1 CGPA Interned at an NIT and Ferrari in Italy (onsite) Couple of international scholarships + talks + active coder Financially NW > 1cr liquid Side hustle makes >2L PM and increasing MoM Target school Stanford GSB Wharton UCB Chicago booth Now, the dilema is that professionally and financially im doing okay but I'm not sure about how things are in India currently. I don't want my fam to be subject to the life i had(we can debate this later on) Now, for folks who did MBA or knows someone who did similar stuff, please help me out No negativity please 🙏🏻

advise for growth/ further education hey folks.... I did an MBA in 2009 from a tier 2 college. worked in startups and established companies in marketing and communications roles. now hit a wall in terms of pay, growth and future prospects... thinking of doing a second mba or a data science course. what do u guys think... other info: I'm 39 years , and can't afford to stop working beyond a year.

Hi folks, I’m a Sr. PM at a good startup currently getting 40 LPA. My total experience is 6 years (2 years PM). One of the CXOs suggested to me (over a casual conversation) to consider doing an MBA from ISB or Ivy League colleges if I can afford a career break. I know that post-MBA might not see a huge jump in CTC but from a long-term perspective do you think it would be worth it? Will it open more avenues for growth?
