What are your thoughts on ed-tech industry in India

I have been on this journey for a long time now. Lots of failure comes with loads of learning. Each step or initiative I took has helped me grow as a person, the business guy (ed-tech, media space), and also in terms of technicalities (full-stack product management, hardcore hands-on into technology and I love user experience) Ps: currently running an edtech startup in pre-seed/seed stage Feel free to ask anything, would be happy to help even personally

Just a random thought which popped in my mind that when you say online classes most people tend to feel uneasy due to how online classes were conducted by our traditional schools / colleges which to be very honest the faculties are technologically challenged and lack the tools or knowledge to conduct them. It was just a joke tbh. Now however people have that idea of online education in mind which means they are completely against online education and EdTech even though these are companies who have the knowledge and technology to conduct them well and are made for online education. How can we fix this mess and do you think EdTech will survive as an industry or become obsolete in India ?

Any Goss on the financial health of Edtech firms like LEAD, Unacademy? I hear there's one more round of layoffs coming.

Edtech is dead, agreed. But we haven't reached the quality of output which is expected from education in India. We don't have quality outputs, most youngsters are unemployed and this change has to start from education. Byju, UA or Vedantu are the highest valued edtechs but they are not the face of what an education company should be like in a country like India. Let's leave them to the karma of their shortcomings and cheating. On a serious note trying to understand how we can use amalgamation of tech and education to get the desired result.

What's the situation of edtechs in India? Any positive signs after BYJU's raised money?

Can someone share what's going on inside unacademy. What new products are they launching. How good is the traction and runway

* 6 days work * Not sure if the UnacademyX app will work or die. Is it getting any traction?? * I heard that company wants people to work 24*7. I have another offer from Lighthouse Learning, but nobody knows this company, they run EuroKids schools(Old school firm), will my career die upon joining Lighthouse?

So again Unacademy has asked people to leave, and asked them to resign. Leadership is so clueless about what they are doing, they fired 3-4 people whom they had hired a month ago. Imagine the situation 😂 And I don't see this stopping at Unacademy anytime soon They are aching left, right and centre. Still some people are making advt videos with Sachin. And the nalla has time to tweet and enjoy vacation, I pity the investors who funded them.
