Feedback or no feedback

Why these HR’s not ready to provide feedback after the interviews round . I am not getting if candidates attended interviews for 1hr / 45 min /30min at least they deserve feedback doesn’t matter if it’s positive or negative . It’s better to accept negative/positive feedback instead of keeping hope . This is big demotivating for us. It’s a request to all HR’s please don’t play with our times. And one question why you are more active before setup the interview and then act like dead .

As title says, I have resigned and my boss who is also the founder of the company has set up a 1:1 session with me. I was fed up of him because of his micromanagement and stupid asks. Basically he was just being a person who think if I have paid, I can ask anything from my employees. Now, I wish to tell him all of this in 1:1 and say how he is not at all worthy to run a employee friendly company. Do you all think it'll be a good idea? Will it impact me in future in any way? Will my next joining be impacted by this?

I went through 5 rounds of interview for leading agritech unicorn. Even went to their office for the final rounds. For some reason i got rejected. Is there a formal way to get feedback from the panelists or hr. Already asked hr for any type of feedback but no response. I feel like the HR in India dont value the candidates time and effort. Apologies if i sound like ranting but strongly feel that we need to improve our ethics value of organization.

Hello people, We are building a recruitment platform to make hiring easy and fun. Having worked with a recruitment startup, we weren't able to hire for our own team. Hire first, fire faster mode ON tha humara. So, we found this gap mostly in the early stage startups who don't invest in their recruitment properly. So can you guys please share your experiences with landing a job with early stage startups.

Is it normal to get good feedback during the interview and the panelist explicitly mentioning that “you will receive a mail about the next steps from the HR” and then get negative feedback for the same?!

Is it ok to give assignment as a recruitment process? Sometimes I feel it as a Fraud. Mainly companies with almost no presence on Internal. I received interview invitation from Nigeria based company. After first round they handed me an assignment of full stack project. Completing that assignment will take at-least 2 days and that company doesn’t have any presence on Internet. Should I submit the assignment?

Hi Wanted an opinion on how do you all tackle the assignment bit when it comes to assignments as part of hiring processes. One, how regular or normal is it at senior positions ? And two, I feel that a lot of times they just ask you to do everything that is expected of the job. Eg: Create a marketing strategy after analyzing landscape and top 3 competitors. Add graphs etc. I always have a concern of getting most out of you. Since its at round 1 they would be getting multiple such assignments, which means by design lpt of this work will be a waste and lots of inputs freely sourced. How do you all handle it ? Can you push back ? P.S: Am from business/ marketing aide of things and not sure of how it works for techies/ product.

1. In person interviews: initial coding round could be virtual but system design, bar raiser and further rounds must be in person only. 2. Some punishment for not joining after accepting an offer letter. There should be a time frame in which you can reject, after that pay some pre decided money. 3. Transparent pay range, if not exact salary. 4. No work during weekends. 5. Max one month notice period. 6. If laid off, pay severance same as notice period i.e one month salary. 7. Pay candidates for the assignments done during interview rounds. 8. Hybrid (remote+office) work. 9. No fixed work timings. you already know the reasons behind all these points.

Recently I have been interviewed by a company and cleared the first round. Then I had 2nd round of the interview conducted through intervue.io which is a outsourced platform. The interviewer was least bothered to know what I am doing in my current role and how I can contribute to org but only conducted interviews by posting code snippet to solve. Do you think it is right way to conduct interviews? Please share your experience

I've been given task of talking to few users every month, although i do it for the sake of showing it on paper, i don't find any real value out of it. It's an activity that just drains my time. I know what needs to be built, and have insights that hardly anyone in my org has. Do you really think it is that important?
