Switching

So I have 2+ years of experience in tech field as a full stack developer for 1 year and as a back end developer for another year. Now I am at a where I need to switch. But I am not very good at DSA, I find it non interesting and a bit difficult. Can you suggest me ways to grow myself so that I can feel confident enough to switch? Also can I switch without DSA ? Jahan dekho wahan sirf DSA hi DSA and it’s frightening 😰

Hey everyone , I am currently working in a consulting company with most work being in sql in snowflake and databricks and python. I wanna switch to sde or data engineer role. Does anyone have experience how can I switch. It seems like analyst in profile is not good. I am already trying to do DSA again. Oh yeah 1 year exp 🙃

I'm a fresher with 1 year of experience in Wipro, I am an electronics graduate and joined the IT sector. Initially I have prepared core Java and Sql and cracked the job offer with a 4 Lpa package. I'm currently learning DSA with java and preparing for cloud certifications in AWS as part of my job role. I don't have clarity on how to move on further like do competitive programming or Front end or dedicate myself for Data analytics roles and excel further as a data engineer or as a Data scientist in future. The buzzing sound of parents asking me to get a government job is also a factor making me question my career and myself. It's the first ever post of mine on a platform, I would love to hear from anyone who gives me guidance.

I want to switch my role to a Data Engineering job as my current role is not having enough job opportunities outside. I am planning to learn tools on Data Engineering. Like the Data Frameworks: Airflow,SSIS,Azure Factory And Dataworks like Snowflake,Databricks,Postgres I need some guidance on which tool to start learning and if I plan to learn these tools for the next 6 months. Is it possible to crack the interviews....this is my 1st switch to a new company. Can anyone pls suggest which framework, Dataworks tool i need to start and has high possibility for getting switch to new company. If possible can you pls share the learning path 🙏🙏🙏. I know the title might seem weird. But here’s my dilemma Working as an SDE with 3 YOE in an product based company remotely. Have some developer + PM experience in a small startup before I never took DSA seriously and just learnt the basics a long time ago. I was appreciated at the startup about how I did PM work even though I wasn’t one officially. Shipped a couple of MVPs on my own as a side gig(had around 100-200 users) I miss some big tech experience definitely. So should I grind DSA and look for big SDE switch even though I don’t like it much or move to product ( the pay might be affected) or do an MBA and then do product (for strong credentials/chances)? I feel maybe I am scared to do DSA/System design since I don’t find total interest in it. If DSA, any suggestion on a very good course, paid/free doesn’t matter. My final goal - build great products and learn everything about what it takes to build them. Thanks

I am a JAVA backend dev, currently in TCS with 5.5 yrs of exp. I want to switch to a Product now. My dev skills are good. I have worked in few projects. With this many years of exp, the expectations are too high now, System Design, Kafka, Jenkins, Docker and DSA on top of that. I don't know how to start, once I start preparing DSA I feel like I am missing on reading system design and other stuff. Also, I don't feel confident about my DSA skills. Are there any devs here who were very bad in DSA but are very confident now. Please share your experiences in comments. Since I already have so many years of exp, this is my last chance to switch to a good product company. Please guide.

I have 2.5 years of experience on CCM technologies(primarily OpenText Exstream) but am not satisfied with it as it's not open source, I am not able to learn it from anywhere on the internet in free hours or while on bench and the project work is the same repetitive type of work. So thinking of switching in the DevOps or Data analytics domain. But not able to fix which one to choose. Please guide me which has good career growth in future and how to proceed. I am a data scientist with 4.5 years of experience and want to transition to software engineering. In DS, we do not code the ways its done in SW roles. Moreover, I am not from CS background. How do I get started on preparing to get into tier 1 companies as SWE / SDE if I want to achieve this in the next 1/1.5 years?

I am a fresher working as a Data analyst in a growing startup. My current role doesn't include much of coding just python and SQL and sometimes little bit ML work. Currently handling 2 projects, and some of PM work to define some roadmaps. I like engineering and coding in whole and want to know more. So do I switch to some SDE role or is there are more paths after Data analytics? I know ML, DL and NLP but not sure will it be a great choice to make career primarily in Data science. So, I am little confused. Please give all good advices. Thanks A curious Engineer
