Why is the Mechanical department so underrated ?

Can anyone tell me what is the average salary of a mechanical engineer as per the current market standards. I am having 1 year of experience and I have been offered 35,000 per month. I need to know if this is right for me or if I can get more. Also, share any job openings where I can apply if you know any.

Saw this on Twitter today. Tech Mahindra hiring graduates for 3.25 LPA and 24*7 Shift timing. I talked to various people to get an idea of their pay. A) A plumber lives near my house. He said he earns 2-3k daily and works for 20-25 days average. He earns 50-60k per month. B) Electrician earns in the same range. And other technicians and workers like this who are skilled earn a lot more than a software engineer. This is the hard reality. Students study for 16 years and pay 15-20 lacs college fees for this.

Is that the case or I might be wrong?

Whenever I scroll grapevine It makes me feel FOMO As most of the people are with very high earning level I know things come with time and experience still in this fast paced world our expectations are quite too high

This is mostly for people who have spent 10+ years in the industry. I’m sure we all can agree that the hiring and salary boom that we witnessed in 2021-22 is mostly over now. Now it’s more about surviving the job market rather than printing asymmetrical amount of money But how has it turned out for people who’ve been in the game for too long. I know some people who switched jobs too quickly and are at a higher package but still not content. At the same time, I know a few seniors who’re still in my first company and are happier than ever with the work. I understand that in Tier-1 cities, the expense itself is more and you’re sometimes forced to switch just to stay afloat. But what would you recommend new joiners based on your experience? Does chasing money in early years help later or only focusing on skills?
