I have spent most of my working life (about 17 years) in Pune barring a few years outside India for an onsite assignment. During the initial phase of my career I was always desperate to relocate to NCR which is close to my hometown, say 12 hrs by train or road, unlike 24-36 hrs from Pune. However I feel a bit confused now about it. I am not sure how easy/difficult and stupid/wise it would be to make a move now. Any suggestions feedback?

I have gotten an offer for Pwc Pune and have to negotiate for salary. How is the city, in terms of career growth and acceptance? Are the living conditions bad? Are the people mostly local or are there people from outside as well? I practically know no one there. Any tips, warnings or advice?

Bangalore's infra has been crumbling under the weight of its population growth. I believe that yesterday's traffic jam was just a trailer and situation will only worsen with time. Seriously contemplating moving out of Bangalore after being here for last 5 years. People who moved out, where did you move? And are you happy now with your decision ?

I am planning to settle down in one particular city in the next 3 to 5 years. I am currently evaluating Bangalore, Hyderabad and Pune. From long term perspective ( for next 20 to 30 years) Which city will offer better job prospects ( IT/Software Development/Product Management/Strategy related jobs) along with a decent life style supported by satisfactory amenities like Gated housing options which are not super expensive, Good schooling options for kids, Decent commuting facilities like Metro, wide roads etc. Interested to hear feedback from folks who went through or going through this dilemma.

Alright, Bangalore is the best city in India. It's not just the best, it's in a league of its own compared to other cities. First off, let's talk about the weather. Bangalore's weather is perfect all year round, magical. Unlike heat waves of Delhi and the shit humidity of Mumbai, Bangalore's climate is the best. Who wants to sweat anytime you step out or freeze to death in winters? Not me. Bangalore is where the real innovation happens. Really smart people making this country better. These Delhi Bombay kids caught lacking for real. And the people? Bangalore's got the best of the country. It's cosmopolitan. You've got people from all over the country, and everyone's more educated and progressive. So, let's cut to the chase. Bangalore is the best city, hands down. The rest of India can keep dreaming, but they'll never catch up.
