How to continuously push timelines 😂?

how do you guys deal with managers setting up unrealistic deadlines? My manager without even consulting the team about efforts required gave the estimated completion date of the project which is impossible to deliver by that time. I tried to reason with him several times about extending the timeline but he doesn't listen at all. what should i do in this case?

I always think of studying or building that one project over the weekend or complete that one chore which is pending from past 2 years! But fail everytime, I don't even move on weekends i don't like going anywhere I don't even like house full of people I just want quite time in weekends but unfortunately don't get it so I feel like I have not relaxed properly and this makes me think I deserve to be lazy all because of this have not studied from a long time so much so that I am almost back to being a noob on my skills its so freakin heart breaking where I have landed myself and I repeatedly do this every week! I can't even focus on one thing. Even if I quit social media and get serious it's just for 2-3 days max after that I am back to the procrastination den. Please guide, seriously need advice and steps that can be helpful to overcome this.

Whenever you a call PM fraud here, they come & put justifications like you don't know business, products built by Engineers are shyt, only PMs can build good products, engineers don't prioritize business needs bla bla. A data scientist/analytics perspective: 1. When we call a PM fraud, we refer to mainly those who come without a background in either of tech or business. Cool wannabes straight out of college & learnt nothing but attitude over years. If a PM was an engineer, or analytics, or business or ops, then others first see him/her as engineer/etc & then a manager. That's the right way it should be. 2. 'Business won't be prioritized' is such a complacency: Business is bread & butter of Analytics and AI. It is the primary thing we check in interviews, a large portion of the interview focus' on the problem statement and prioritisations. End note: PMs are hot, but only when they have a solid foundation in stuff they are building. They need to know depths. Anyone apart from this breed are worthless & Indian startups are filled with this shyt A best PM would be a senior engineer/analyst with penchant for business practicality & customer perspective. Why of 1st Point? Because how can you manage a team when you don't even know what that team does? For eg: I can tell my PM any random blabbing about why model is working/not & she has no idea to judge my words. Leave AI, with tech pipelines too I can give any deadlines & justify it how would she know? Besides if they don't have tech background they bring in random expectations which is far away from feasibility. Why should any tech guy respect them? They can understand business req, connect with business teams and build better. That's the exact role of a project manager.

I went and asked my lead to give some task, they delegated me to some other lead, the other lead said kal release hai dekhte hai kuch aaya toh de denge warna theek Now here I am anxious about not getting a task, I don't know how to kill time, I get tensed of not having a task. Is it just me? I don't understand when you get a task, again you are tensed about the deadlines, if you don't get a task you are tensed This is a vicious cycle, how to break this?

Manager seems to give more work when I complete the assigned task in a short period. Should I do work at the pace of others in the team who work at normal pace or continue with the very fast pace. How to escape this deadlock. Btw, I try to be fast paced in my work to maintain WLB and have some me time. Advise/Opinions please.

I am a software engineer with 3 years of experience .For the first two initial years I was working as a QA in one of the good product companies with a very sorted work life balance . I had recently switched to a BE role in a startup I am very much lagging behind here because of my QA background ,the people here are very much talented and are great problem solvers .How do I reach that level ? I have been struggling to keep up with the pace here and finding it difficult to approach the tasks,even though i have been giving so much of time to work . And the TL in my team have a certain amount of expectations and hence they don't help according to that .(which i feel is fair) How should I approach this and level up here Anyone with a similar background and story please share your experience :) Any advice would really help

I have over 5 years of experience in product management and have worked with 2 companies in the past. On multiple occasions i felt that I am struggling with what to build next. Generating a laundry list of ideas could be easy but generating an impactful roadmap is something that i struggle with. Is this because I am incompetent as a product manager or other PMs also get stuck in similar situations, if yes then what do you do to come out of it?

If you mess up on a client engagement and can't finish a task properly? What happens ? What are the repercussions? I'm a fresher and I don't know what to do anymore ? Is this normal ? It's only been 7 months here , I'm a campus hire and I feel out of my depth? Seniors don't help that much as they're too busy? My anxiety is really high and I don't know really know what to do anymore. Any tips advice would be helpful?

I feel like startups have unreasonable and unnecessary self induced pressure at times. I am working as an APM at a gate management startup and all I feel is pressurized even though the release gets delayed whether due to faulty implementation or dev or qa or requirement change from business side which the PM has no control over. While all this is happening you are left to wonder where did you lack? Was it at Product Management or at Project Management because clearly both are not happening properly. It's weird how so little at times is in your control and yet how all the blame you have to take because primarily it was your job to think it all through.
