Best excuse to leave job within a month?
Got a job but now got another offer at 80% hike. What’s the best excuse to leave the job?
Don't give an excuse, have an honest conversation. Believe it or not, Honesty is the policy, even in these times

Won’t work.
Assumptions don't take us anywhere, execution does. Believe me, your manager would have dealt this situation before

Best is to not take salary and leave without a trace

Yup. If you take salary then all these feedback from current manager comes into picture. Plus 1 month doesn’t look good on CV. So best to avoid it and don’t leave a trace

Say that you are battling mental health issues. You have had therapy for some time now and the psychiatrist has recommended to immediately focus on yourself since the psychiatrist has diagnosed you as heavily suicidal.
Because of this you are not able to work anymore and you need to leave immediately ( notice period of 1 week for kts only) to focus on yourself.
Ideally nobody will say anything on this since this is very serious issue.
If they dont, tell them repeatedly that i am suicidal, have held these thoughts inside for far too long and may take action if not given proper care ( need to go back to family immediately so that there is no risk of you harming yourself)

This will
1. Not spoil your relations with people in office/ managers
2. All formalities like exit letter etc will be expedited and done without hassle
3. This is not something they can dive into since this is very personal and cannot actually be explained. Somebody bring suicidal is just IS, there is no explanation of why.
On the ethics part of it. - thats something you will have to decide.
Wouldn't you still be on probation if it's been just a month 🤔 should be straight forward
Same issue man

You'll risk your reliving letter by doing that, and your future company mandatorily requires reliving letter from your previous company to confirm your employment and your exit from that employment

Why even mention this company.

Best way is to resign and serve notice period. Ask the other company for extending the joining date till you complete the exit formalities gracefully in the current company.

Sadly most managers don't work that way, if that was the case there wouldn't be a notice period, and there definitely wouldn't be notice periods that last 90 days for some ppl.
I suggest, make up some excuse around family emergency and how you won't be able to work for months to come.

Yes mostly dont unless manager is good. Try to give some family reason or relocation or something. Tell them that you can overwork in 1 month and finish off whatever required
Tell I sold ancestor property and became crorepati and want to retire for good.
I did the same in 2013. 🤓🤓

Tell your manager you're going to resign because you got a better offer, simple as that.
If he shits his pants and throws a tantrum, more the reason to leave this job.
Just say that it didn't align with your expectations.
Be honest unless u fear that u may have to switch back to this job if things don’t workout in the 80% hike company
It's a company, not your spouse that you are amoral in leaving them for a financially better option.
Given the current enviornment where profitable companies don't think twice before unceremoniously deactivating email access and letting employees know through the news that they have been laid off, I don't think employees need to explain themselves.

I am his manager, now I know all the things that he will say 🙂

Be honest about your reason, resign and serve notice. If the management is reasonable and your workload low, try and convince them for a shorter notice. Worked for me.
Trust me. Even I am on notice period. Just talk to your manager say, I want to leave.
They will definitely try to stop, that’s his job to do.
Then ask for a day or two to think. Then just message him that I have thought about and now I am leaving. (Period)
You need few truth and few lies in your reason.
Inform you can't continue in your current role and location and need to move to someother city due change in personal/family situation. Your company won't accept. Then you tell them you got a job as per your location preference and need to resign.
