[Rumour] Microsoft layoffs in April
I've been hearing things about another round of layoffs that's going to take place in mid April. Got to hear the same thing from a friend in Microsoft today. They are moving employees from impacted teams internally to teams with products that have more demand. (e.g SQL server to be made fully cloud) Hiring is in a standstill. External hires to be considered only when they absolutely require. Someone on Twitter was saying that they applied via referral 1.5 months ago, hasn't received a call yet. On prem teams mostly impacted. Can someone else from Microsoft confirm?
