Hey folks I'm software test engineer at amdocs holding 1.6 year experience currently planning to switch company please help me by providing your wise advice on below queries - 1. Desperately want to quit QA job & wanna switch to Devops. Can you tell me from where i should to start learning and gain hands-on experience. 2. Is this right time to join new company as any other new role what your experience says how long hiring will be freeze ? Skill - python, automation framework, MySQL, Linux, Agile, sdlc/stlc. CTC - 8.5 Lac

1. DevOps is a pretty wide domain and I would suggest you to first get a broad understanding of the domain and then strengthen your understanding about Networking and OS (Linux). For starting you can take a course for Cloud (AWS) by Stephen Maarek on Udemy. And you will find plenty of such courses there. The only way to get real world experience is to create some projects on your own and show to the company that you can work your way around. Don't fall in the tutorial hell. 2. The market might look bad but there are a lot of companies hiring good Devs. I myself switched in this market with a great hike of 40+%. So don't fall too much for the media news. Small startups and mid scale companies are still hiring. The most important piece of advice: Be passionate and learn everything you can from anywhere you can. Money will follow automatically. You can't survive in Software long if you are not good at what you do. Good Luck.

is it a Good switch QA(Automation) >> Backend Dev

Software QA(Automation) having 3 yrs of exp with Salary 12LPA , thinking of switching to Backend dev role . Although here are my few queries : 1. Is QA domain good in long run with respect to salary . 2. Will Dev role be difficult to adapt , as i have exp in development but only in writing test scripts . 3. How much should i expect the staring dev salary to be as compared to my current CTC ? 4. Is it a good switch , say if i stay in QA domain for 2 more years then i guess CTC would be around the ball park of 18 - 20 LPA . But if i switch to dev and gain 2 years of exp will it be able to match the salary of QA ? Thanks in Advance

Need your suggestions, I have a total 7 years of experience and recently switched to one of the organization and this is my 3Rd switch, It has been 3 months no learning scope here and in future roadmap also I couldn't see anything much for my tech stack , and current project is too much of Micromagemet, though of switching to other company, as I switched 3 months back can try other switch now? Its good idea any impact on my career? Please suggest
