Ola/Uber are both easily available but I'll suggest going with an auto rickshaw or normal rickshaw especially when you are in the area around Golden Temple otherwise you will be stuck in traffic.

The city is quite safe, and is active in the night too since many visitors go to the golden temple in the evening/night also. Just keep a dupatta and cover your head in religious places. That's all.

You don’t need an uber/ola in Amritsar probably since you can get auto/rickshaws easily. Also there are free rides to golden temple from Railway station and people are good there. Have a safe and happy trip.

Ola didn't disrupt , it destroyed

Damn, let me tell you how Ola has messed up the auto rickshaw industry! They came in acting all fancy, promising convenience and fair prices. But what do we get? Overcharging like crazy! Their surge pricing during peak hours is a complete rip-off. They take advantage of our desperation and squeeze every penny out of us. And who suffers the most? The hardworking folks who rely on auto rickshaws every day. But it doesn't stop there. Ola's profiteering tactics have destroyed the earning potential of auto rickshaw drivers. They used to have control over their fares and make a decent living. Now, Ola dictates the prices and leaves the drivers scraping for scraps. It's just not fair! They've disrupted the whole system, and not in a good way. The drivers are struggling, and we passengers are getting ripped off left and right. Ola, you've turned a once reliable and affordable mode of transportation into a nightmare. Shame on you!

Hey guys I’ve never travelled solo in my entire life. Where and How should I start? There are few questions I’ve like: 1. How to handle accommodations? 2. Concern about the safety and security. 3. How to decide which places to visit. I mean can’t roam around uselessly, must have a list of places to visit. 4. Whom to believe, in the sense that, a lot of people are ready scam you when they find you are new here, how to handle that. If you travel solo very often, then suggest some pointers to keep in mind. I want to move out of my parents home

29F, I still stay with my parents Working, earning >1lpm, remote work Over the years, I have realised I own no assets. Everything has been bought by parents EVERYTHING My mom would always make sure she or dad paid, saying you can keep your money for yourself (which I initially thought was very sweet) Now I see how I am dependent on them for all What ever I have bought can be put into a polythene bag and that's all my life (I generally spend on food and stuff that goes away) I have bought certain items for family or the house, but that isn't mine obviously I need to get out of the house, my mental health is at the edge
