I think they should read Union budget, how government spends and it's mostly on subsidy, freebies and repayment of interest. Basically, if we slog also then 30-40% of amount will go out as tax and that tax will be spent on useless stuff. PS - 💯 h working janta will not get any concession in education, health, tourism etc. Peace out ✌️ Now you can type ur rant after 5pm.

Inspite of so many "better than earlier govts" reforms in the last 10 years...the govt hasnt done much needed reforms in the income tax regime. The govt is doing a few good things like dissolving inept psu's, selling off entities like Air India (privatisation), etc. But when and how are we going to increase the tax base?? Why is govt failing to do so? It is high time we rationalise it. However, when a government announces a welfare scheme for the marginalized, everyone starts shouting "freebie. The Indian middle class is often caught between two worlds, and they can feel insecure and resentful of both the wealthy and the marginalized. If India had set up an unemployment benefit (for certain period after job loss) such as the one in developed western countries, will it be considered a freebie? Especially during the current market scenario?
