What would happen to all the AI startups that are raising massive rounds at insane valuations once OpenAI improves GPT-4 (some spicy rumours are going around) or comes up with GPT-5? Most of these "AI" startups are just a wrapper around these existing, capable LLMs. Better versions of these LLMs would start generalising more and doing those specific functions done by these startups much better.

Amazon's cloud division is investigating Perplexity AI for potential violation of scraping rules by accessing websites that had forbidden it to do so. 1/ Scraping Practices and Plagiarism: Perplexity AI appears to rely on content from scraped websites that had forbidden access through the Robots Exclusion Protocol, and has been accused of stealing articles and engaging in scraping abuse and plagiarism. 2/ Response and Investigation: Perplexity CEO initially denied allegations, but later stated that the IP address observed scraping websites was operated by a third-party company.
