Laid off

Guys & gals, I've been put on 3 months notice. Been working from home, my company (a startup) suddenly wants me to come to the office but I can't relocate immediately due to financial & familial responsibilities, so they're laying me off. I have 2.5 yoe with Angular, but am extremely interested in learning other tech too (React/Vue/any other frontend framework, mobile dev with React Native/Ionic, Node/Go for backend). I'm confident that I'll be able to pick stuff up quickly with a bit of time & support. Prefer WFH but I'm open to relocation if the offer is good enough. Would appreciate any leads 🙏 I'm the sole earner in the family and the news has shaken me up mentally. Things are tense at home because of the strained finances. Been applying from the past 2 weeks but no calls yet (early I know, but still). At this point I'll take any opportunity to keep afloat.

Got laid off a few days back. Now feeling a little helpless and tensed. The company's HR said that they are laying me off because of poor performance and they said that despite continuous feedback sessions (which they did not even conduct nor give me any suggestions/feedback) my performance did not improve. :)

Iam a product designer, ui developer, no code have 2 years experience. This is some feeling. Got into company 1yr before when the edtech platform failed in capturing users . The problem statement was to make a platform to teach machine learning and data science for kids between 12_18 age. Build a complete game ui concept . All like it now the MVP is released ,company said they are focusing on marketing so restructuring. Over 100 screens (1000) iterations. It was fun designed entire thing myself. Hard to belive I'm out. This too is an experience I guess. Iam just 26 by the way

I recently changed my job, 3-4 months back. It was a hard time finding a good job profile with good offer, after almost a year of searching amd giving interviews i found my current job. Luckily, my interviews were very good and i was offered more than what i had asked. After joining team, i realized that they are looking to prepare for some regulatory changes and my role was pivotal in that. I kind of got to work and contribute on my own and my manager and his boss liked me. I was getting set but then last week, company announced some changes in top leadership and my manager's boss got a new boss. Now this guy seems little tricky and i don't know what all changes he would bring. As of now he seems to be sure of expanding the team/work that i do (related to regulatory stuff). Now, these changes has got me a bit nervous. And i am kind a bit afraid about my job and its future. This is causing me stress. Any ideas or thoughts that can help me navigate.

I was recently asked to resign/layoff along with 40% of the engg and product function at the org with 1 month pay. I have 1 yr in Fintech Product M and 3 years in Travel tech. How the hiring situation like right now? Anyone currently looking please share. Referrals appreciated.

I'm currently working in an investment bank as a risk analyst. My manager was abruptly fired today and I was told to manage the work for the time being. I had a talk with my manager and he hinted me that the whole team will he dissolved soon. So what are my options now? Qualification - Btech + MBA from NMIMS University. Sitting for CFA L1 in August. Current CTC - 13L YOE - 1

It has been 25 days since I got laid off from the startup that I was working for. I have given a few interviews. Got rejected in 1st or 2nd rounds in a few, went till the last round n rejected in a couple and haven't heard back from the HR in a few. Not hearing back, unanswered calls, delays in rounds etc. cause a lot of anxiety and impacts my confidence and preparation levels. How do I tackle it? Also, unable to find fresh openings in product/ strategy roles for past few days. This also adds to pressure and uncertainty. In short, it is a very troubling phase. How do I deal with it? Need enormous help from all of you folks. Would love to hear some great thoughts / insights / hacks too.

Today I got laid off from a startup where I am working as a Frontend dev in total I have 1.6 years of work experience any tips, ideas or anything you want to share which will help me to get a new job soon in this bad market condition pls drop a comment will it be super helpful.

Maybe soon I'll be get laid of by my firm as layoff is ongoing in company and manager also keeping distance from last some days. How to handle this situation.

I joined Morgan Stanley India as a spring intern this January. I was supposed to work for 6 months and would have been converted to a full time employee post the internship. I worked my ass off and got outstanding feedback from my manager (VP) and their managers as well (ED). On the other hand I kept asking my manager about my progress and chances of conversion. He assured me that I was an extraordinary intern and he kept assigning me work other than my project. I also interacted with other people in the organisation and received great feedback from them (upto MD level). Now coming to last week, I had a chat with my manager about the same, he informed me that the organisation has gone into a hiring freeze just 2 weeks back and thus I won't be getting converted to a FTE. Also this info is not public yet and a lot of the other interns have no idea what the situation is here. The people in my team have offered to help me out with opportunities outside the firm but there's nothing they can do inside for me. The most they can do is give me LORs but nothing more. I am a recent graduate with 2 years of experience as an intern at multiple startups and MNCs. Can the folks here help me out. Also is there anything I can do at the firm?
