Hi all... I'm building an alternative for slack and teams ...... Where businesses don't have to pay monthly user fees but can get the software just by doing one payment and host it on their own machine .... Checkout Zulip. It’s an OSS and mimics Slack very closely. It’s free to self-host. https://zulip.com
True ..... But currently slack and ms teams are using your data to train AI .... Companies should consider hosting their own data which is cheaper and better option than paying for cloud services
Google Docs
- Every channel goes in a new sheet
- Start threads by creating bullet points
- You get to edit other peoples' messages too.
- You can restore the channel to a previous state if you don't like where things are going.

From what I can see, the app looks poorly designed both UI and UX.
As long as it does what it is supposed to do ..... UI can be changed any time since it's the easy part
