Feeling the Blues this Weekend, what else do you all do apart from going out, drinking and eating food with your friends?

Out on a walk and the weather is all grey, Saw a Gulmohar Tree blooming with beautiful red flowers.

Chose to sit down on a bench in the garden, While sipping some Rasna, saw some kids hurling stones towards a Mango Tree.

They were hoping to get some Mangoes, still green and waiting to ripen but that wouldn’t stop them.

And I wondered, our old social circle has now dispersed, some went abroad to study and others work in different cities.

Some friends even live in the same city and you meet them for drinks or food sometimes.

But we seldom do anything outside of Food, Drinks and Music. Can’t think of anything outside of these three things that you and your friends do.

Maybe, I’ll take some initiative and explore more group sports. Because, I don’t want my weekends to be the same bar with the same food and the same music on loop for the rest of my youth.

What about you all? What do you guys do on the weekend outside of this?

I generally go on a run in the morning (late morning) or a swim nearby and binge on the newspaper articles and some movies on OTT ☺️

Ah @Angrybirdd so you’re one of those who actually decide to stay chill and do things that require individual attention.

Very nice. ❤️

@salt mate It was a slow realisation for me after the Covid hit that we actually spend very less time with yourself and family,so I decided to dedicate the weekends for peace ✌️.

And learn "The art of relaxing" 😌

I play badminton on weekdays, and sometimes weekends too. Me and my friend try out japanese places in the city, found a very authentic place today, and going to watch PS-2 (ponniyan selvan) tomm. otherwise, I try out some new recipes at home from all the food reels I have saved or some origami or very random creative thing hehe

@Yamprofessional Genuinely, this sounds so much fun.

Japanese cuisine does sound very delightful. I’ve tried various kinds of Sushi 🍣 and it is completely mind blowing.

You certainly have a mix of individual and group hobbies and I’m all for that.

Amazing. 💯

Went to gym, then swimming, then watched the anime movie in theatre and attended my bartending school. Now doing some stock analysis while sipping on Americano.

I don’t eat most of the things so even i dont like going outside to eat. And cocktails i can make myself so no point splurging money on bars for cheap ass sugary cocktails.

You can try finding what adventures you always wanted to do and try those. For example I’m going to learn piano after bartending school is over in. June.

Certainly, life is a lot of fun. I am just curious what others do. Hoping to see a few interesting hobby ideas.

Your bartending school + piano tutorial idea is certainly great.

Swimming+Gym does sound super nice. That’s so awesome. 👏🏻

You can use PlayO app to join sporting events with random people in city. I liked the app and the concept. Now every weekend, at least once I go to play TT, I found some pretty great players via that app. People play like crazy. Some people of married, 40+ age too come to play and they play so well. Try that app, or any other similar app, very thriving sporting community there. Some people play for 2-3 hrs, and some play Cricket one day, and TT another day, crazy folks.

I play cricket tournaments with my friends, take long walks and spend as much time as possible with my family 😊

@Reckoner171089 I used to play cricket in 10th grade, couldn’t be a great batsman so I became a fast bowler.

But then, I stopped playing cricket and started playing Football because cricket was too slow paced for me.

But I love how group sports make us feel oh so nice. ❤️

What's one thing that you look upto with curiosity, even now, like you used to do in your childhood.

It could be playing Sunday matches, meeting someone special, going to a special place, it could be anything, where the interest did...
