Career Stagnancy

I have been working with Infosys for past 5years(total exp) and my current salary is 20LPA CTC. I work on Apple projects and the work has become repetitive over the last three years, primarily focusing on Java, Spring, Microservices, and Elasticsearch. I really want to join a product company now, for better compensation and more engaging work, but I’m uncertain how to proceed. I’ve just been writing APIs and scheduled jobs, and at this point I think I know nothing beyond it. The thought of facing the interview processes of tech giants for senior roles is daunting. Where should I start from? How do I regain my competence?

Hi all! I have 16 years of work ex in Corporate sales and currently working in a leading indian Fintech from last 9 years. I am feeling stuck here with no visibility of growth or even sense of job security. I didn't take risks in my career as I am sole bread earner for my family but it was biggest risk I guess I took. Plz suggest me what all I should do to find good opportunities in terms of growth and job stability. I am introspecting and would really appreciate your valuable feedbacks.

Hi guys, I am a senior frontend dev (lead) with 8 years of experience. Just have a BCA degree from 3 tier college. After years of staring at screen constantly for good 10+hrs, i want to make a move to Non Tech role like PM or Engg Manager Role. Help with what all options do I have to make a switch- 1- MBA from Normal xyz college will give a low yield 2- MBA from Ivy league will take time to crack and complete. 3- PMP course just for the sake of it 4- Pmp course from ISB or Keylogg to actually learn it Currently 33 age, ctc 36lpa fixed. Also, will I be able to get similiar ctc ?

Hey there I am a 2021 graduate. Have worked for 1 year in an ed-tech giant and another year at a startup. Had a brilliant time in startup, learnt a lot and enjoyed every bit of it until couple of months back, when there were layoffs and some part of the team was asked to leave. Now I don't enjoy working here because of high amount of work, no wlb and no people to chill with and planning to switch. But with current market scenarios not sure if that's the right choice. I am also thinking to do an MBA next year probably from tier 1 tier 2 colleges. What according to you would be the best path or what you'd have chosen to do here? Profile- APM with about 1 YoE

Hi All, would love to hear your thoughts/ideas/strategies on how to switch from a Senior Customer Success Manager role to a Product/ Project Manager role. Brief background - Total Work-Ex 9 years (2.5 years in IT services pre MBA + 6.5 years in Sales/KAM/Customer Success post MBA). Recently have switched few companies in search of better roles/compensation and that also reflects in a negative way in resume. Not able to get even an interview call while applying for PM roles. I am really feeling bad and stuck, I am not getting what to do next after 14 yrs of IT Experienced. Facing difficulties and not getting good opportunities to up skill and not being able to manage work and family. I don't have soft skills to move to management or client face role, solution architecture. I am feeling my career going to end. Kindly suggest me.

Having almost 6yrs experience with single digit salary 😭 every friend and colleague are making a killing every recruiter I speak to just offer x% over last CTC but not the amount I ask stating budget issue. This is taking a toll on my mental health unable to focus on up skilling / working in current org plz help not sure what to do.

Hello good folks of grapevine, I am very confused with my situation right now. I am currently working at a consumer tech unicorn in a strategy role but really burnt out with the working environment. I have no clarity on my roles and responsibilities which keeps changing every week. I am not learning much either. I am planning to quit without any offer in hand (notice period is 2 months, I have enough to survive 5-6 months). I am an IIT-IIM graduate (old ones). Total YOE ~ 4.5 years across strategy consulting, project management and strategy at current startup. Please suggest. Folks who have quit without any offer in hand, how did it work out for you?

Rejected BPO offer from TCS and TechM back in 2017. Sitting for six years at home. Prepared for CAT, XAT , IIFT, SNAP, TISS, XGMT, SRCC, NMAT, CMAT. Didn't secure a good percentile. Stopped preparing for MBA entrances and started preparing for govt exams. Still not able to clear any. B.com grad with accounting hon. No int in CA/CS. Zero experience at anything. Currently depressed to a point that I have no energy doing anything. Need help.

I have over 15 years of experience working in IT and feel stuck here with no growth. At this juncture I am worried if I can get any offers outside as my skills are not great and I feel someone with around 5 years exp can do. Most of the work I did is a middle man work between business and developers either a lead or manager etc. any suggestions? On what path should I choose?
