Advice for a tier 2-3 college SWE?

I am a SWE (full stack) with ~2.5 YOE from a Tier 1 college with tier 2-3 startup experience. People from Big tech, how do I get shortlisted? How to increase my observability?

I am currently in my third year studying computer science and I am confused about what to do next. Here are some quick points about my profile: - Strong GitHub profile - Part of Google's summer of code 2023 - Built some interesting projects (tech stack: typescript, postgres, redis) - I have studied a fair bit of High Level Design (System Design) - I have a decent leetcode profile (500 questions mostly medium and Hard) (1800 contest rating) - I also have strong CS fundamentals (DBMS, oop, CN) I am currently getting interviews from startups but they want 6 month interns and I cannot do such a long internship right now with college. I am only available for a 2 month summer intern (which most startups don't want). I am from a Tier 2 college and we do have some good companies come for placements but I'm not sure about the scenario for next year. Any tips or advice on what I should focus on? how I should prepare? what kind of companies I should target? Your experience and insights will be of tremendous help for me

I'm currently working as DSE at Infosys from june 2022 ,i am willing to make a switch, but I'm getting almost no interview calls, only calls that i get are mostly from small startups. Can anyone suggest me on how to secure interviews

I am from Tier-I CSE grad, working in startups since college. Not sure why, but never have my resume got shortlisted in MSFT and Amazon. I am not sure what they try to find in my resume, or whether they even look at it or not. One thing I am sure is I can crack their interviews 4 out of 5 times. I have even cold-emailed managers and recruiters but they don't even reply. Any suggestions?

Hello friends Hope the title is self explanatory Some context, I am a SDE - 2 with 3 yoe and my resume never gets shortlisted . Whatever interviews I had given were because of recruiters reaching out to me on LinkedIn. I’m from a Tier 1 college and have good ratings on codechef and CF I’m so confused seeing people talk about how they get 1-2 calls a day. Could someone please let me know what could be the issue? I apply to companies like Stripe, Postman, coin base , msft etc

I am a 2023 grad. I joined a startup but it is asking me to look for new opportunities. I interview at Zeta and recieved an offer. I also have an offer from Service Now. Current compensation: 21 TC (16 base) Zeta : 17 TC(16 base) not ready to increase even after counter offer Service Now: 23 TC(15 base) Hear lot of bad things about zeta like silent layoffs, 0% hike this year and we need to go to office 5 days a week where as it is hybrid at service now. Zeta has better learning and that is the only upside of it. Would love to hear some feedback.

I desperately disappointed hunting jobs from last one year although I have one year experience in java receiving rejected mails ! Any one suggest to make best resume which passes ATS test !

I am a fresher. I am from tier 2 college and currently in my final year. I am not sure if my projects are good but I have done freelance work in web development. And i am doing leetcode everyday. I graduated in 2021 and have worked in startups across EdTech, Cloud Communication, and currently in FinTech at a Series A startup. After 1.6 years in my first role, I pursued a 23% pay increase but faced a layoff after 10 months. Now, despite my experience, I'm finding it challenging to secure interview calls for an SDE 2 position. I currently work at a Series A startup where I joined after accepting a pay cut.(little above my first company ctc😢 and working for 7 months). My Job is really writing bunch of code but not designing or implementing any prominent systems as i am still SDE-1. I'm genuinely seeking your advice: 1️⃣ How do frequent job changes early in one's career impact hiring decisions, especially in different tech sectors? 2️⃣ Given my tech skills and startup background, what strategies can I employ to strengthen my resume for an SDE 2 role? 3️⃣ How significant is the company's reputation when considering a move to a more established startups/MNCs? 4. Is it worth changing or should i continue but pay is low than previous and i am not doing any sde 2 level job. Tech Stack: Java, Python, AWS, Flask, Springboot

Currently I am in college 3rd year(EEE). Since there aren't really many jobs in EEE. I decided to pursue my carrier in software. So far I have learned full stack development and built some small websites to. Since the internship season is coming I have applied for a lot of postions on various websites but not really getting any replies. So my question is should i continue grinding the full stack devlopment even though competition is at all time high(saw 2000+ applications for 1 intern postion 🤡) and fear of AI(DEVIN) Study AI/Ml since it's the trending topic. But there aren't many postions jn india Learn web3(solana +rust). Many people are telling there is no future in it. But I saw some of my frnds printing money in this tech So senior software enginnering please 🙏 help your fellow junior
