The metaverse is dead

Dodged another bullet and survived another layoffs! But it's a total bloodbath and teams were ripped apart. Lost 5 team members including my manager! It's not gonna be an easy path ahead. Things look pretty uncertain. Team shuffles, manager to IC conversion and new remit!

I’ve been making fun of metaverse since ‘21. More power to builders in the arena who keep on building, defying all odds. What a time to be alive to see such inventions.

This Apple vision pro is confusing me as where the VRtech is heading. Meta is closing down the VR product line, metaverse whereas Apple is confident enough to sell a VR headset worth 3500$!! Any interesting thoughts on this?

I don’t know anyone who even recalls what it is or was. Possibly the fastest rise and decline for anything in the tech era. Do you use Threads ?

Is anyone using it still and is there any better value addition? I had installed initially but left it soon as didn't find anything new. This gives me an impression that building successful product is always a tricky game and you can' t be sure even if you have all the resources.
