Need suggestion, confused about my growth🤕

27 Male ,got an offer of 20.5 lpa. Most of the people I know here at grapevine are making way more and friends in my circle are making around 35-50 lpa. Now I am confused,I have a lot of questions in my head. Did I slack off? Or did I do okay?Cause I was avg in college(7.6 cgpa) tier -3 and started my job at non-dev role. I thought market was down hence I was happy with 20.5 lpa,but now I see folks making more money. My progression : 3 lpa to 5 lpa (Accenture for 2 years) service based S.A.P basis job. Drone tech startup: ML Engineer (2.3 yoe)[8-12 LPA] Now I will be joining an MNC : As Sr.MLE offer in hand (20.5 LPA) Overall I have 4.3 yoe. Any advice is greatly appreciated. I might be insecure,I cannot talk about this problem with my parents or friends (or anyone around me)

Hello everyone So a little about me: I’m a software developer working in a fintech startup in MOHALI. 2022 pass-out interned in the same startup as a backend intern in node js which was then converted into a full time offer after 6 months. Worked in node for almost 1.5 years, then switched to python + ops Starting compensation was 7 lpa and currently is 9 lpa. Thinking about switching but at the same time market looks risky as well. Need suggestions for what to do, be it tech stack(is python in demand or node in demand?) , job change

I'm working in a very early stage startup when I was offered I was first to join company and then we grown to team of 5 and few interns. The thing is they all are working in an another company in a good position it's just like part time for them I'll only to most of the things I don't mind I'm happy that I'm learning a lot. it was immediately after my graduation i thought it will be great to start like this, but now I'm scared because we are still creating app not yet deployed don't have LinkedIn to show our company also , now I'm feeling like if I want to change HR may think he's lying i don't know how to explain i literally started with writing Frist line of code. I want to change let me know what I can do about this

Started off my career in 2011 as System Administrator at 5000 INR. By the time I left it in 2012, I had reached 10000INR. Moved to a metro city and started working for a client based MNC at 3L per Annum. After working for 2yrs I had reached at 3.3L INR per annum. Switched job to another city at 9L per annum. I joined as Senior position. Since then I am working at same place and same team. I have grown from Senior position to Managerial position. Salary grew from 9L to 56L INR. I would like to know from your folks, is it a good growth?

I have been at a company since 2.6 yrs as a founding engineer (joined here as a fresher). I am a graduate from IIT Delhi. I am paid well (50 LPA cash + decent stocks). The work culture of where I am is pretty amazing (5-6 hrs work, 5 days a week), WFH. Since I joined when the company was growing, I am well respected. I would also go in length to say that I don't expect the culture to be this good anywhere else. However it has been pretty boring lately, the work is very monotonous ( I am a backend engineer with pretty decent technical skills). I think I have little opportunity to grow here. What should I do ? PS: I got interview calls from various startups but most of them are just matching my salary but after doing some research I see that they are demanding lots of work (12 hrs, sometimes weekends included)

During my B.Tech, I balanced my studies with active participation in clubs and committees, and also engaged in sports and exploration. Aspiring for a non-core placement, I didn't participate in hackathons or apply for internships. After graduation, I pursued various paths, including preparing for the CAT exam with only three months of preparation time, but I didn't succeed. I then applied to several companies for data analytics roles but kept making new mistakes in each attempt. In one instance, I was rejected for oversharing my passion for data science in a final interview. To improve my chances, I optimized my resume and completed significant projects, but these efforts haven't yet yielded the desired results. Realizing the challenges of relying on a single target, I also started preparing for the GATE exam. Reflecting on my journey, I recognize that I should have applied for on-campus opportunities, as off-campus job hunting is challenging and unpredictable, regardless of one's preparation. Being anonymous gives me a safe space. But life is getting tougher than ever each day. I wish I had a better paying job. I wish I had time to have slow mornings. I wish I could provide for my family and give them the things they much deserve. I wish I had a chance to rewire rewind and restart. I wish I could do more than I wish to do. It's all wishes guys . It's all hopes. . Nothing seems fulfilling. Nothing seems to make me happy. I have forgotten what carefree days were like. Adulting is kinda hitting hard. I am not able to cope up. Can someone relate?

My previous company shut down a couple of months ago. Interviewed a bunch leading up to it and landed an offer 20% below my previous comp. The offer felt exploitative and I even posted about it on Grapevine. A lot of folks told me my salary was being corrected and I was overpaid in my previous role. But what felt wrong felt wrong. Ended up letting that offer go -- had decent runway, and hence, was able to do so. Interviewed with 6 more companies, Faced a bunch of last minute rejections as well. But finally landed better offers with teams I'm way more excited to work with. Key takeaways: 1. Gut > Market Data > Subjective Opinions when it comes to assessing offers 2. Runway = resilience, save up for rainy days -- going to take this way more seriously moving forward

I am 26 years old and just reached 75 lakhs net worth and 0 loans. I have a 15 lakh car which I paid in cash for. I also recently got a job that will increase this significantly in the next 2 years with more than 80 LPA CTC. But I don't know what to do with this money. Yes I have invested a lot but I don't feel like buying a house or anything. It feels like money is increasing but what's the point. I already live a happy life living in a rented 1 BHK in a good society. Should I buy a house just for the sake of buying it?
