Why is Google hiring process so shitty?
Google's hiring process is so shitty , I have already been through 8 interview rounds and spent a whole year in the process but still yet to get a confirmed outcome result. What is wrong with these people, half of the interview rounds didn't seem justified for the role also. Almost every time the recruiter says this is the last interview then the hiring committee recommends another one supposedly "to fill the gaps ". Seems like an elitist process being followed to sastify their egos.
The primary aim at Google interviews is to search for something they call Googliness.
No one can tell you what that specifically means, but they're looking for it.
Googlyness is one of the round in the interview process . Not the whole process

I have friends who have spent 6-8 months interviewing with them. It’s a very elitist mindset and keep you in the limbo for a long time.
Hello, googler there.
People simply don’t work at google, and nobody calls out their bullshit. At any other company, these folks would get a nice dressing down for the amount of time they take to get anything done.
I myself submit interview feedback at an average of 3-4 days for such interviews.
No hard feelings, but google changes the most driven individuals. I’m merely an average engineer
