I’m planning to move my MF investment to Dezerv PMS. I’m planning to start with 50L(min req investment).

I want to start investing 2000 monthly in a SIP, what would be your suggestion? Where I can invest ? And which app is best?

Hi folks I'm a 21 year old, investing 1000 each into 35 mutual funds Taking my SIP to 35k per month Just to set the context, apart from this, I'm passively investing into ipo's and stocks as well for the long term. I've read at a lot of places that investing in more than 10 mutual funds is a foolish choice, because most of your stocks are going to be overlapping. But I don't understand why it's called foolish? There can't be a 100% overlap of portfolio between any 2 mutual fund houses, there is always going to be a significant difference, which adds to the risk diversification any which ways, because my money is spread across multiple set of stocks and across different fund manager brains as well, for e.g. one might sell some of my stock at a high or a low, while other might not. My diversification is - 45% small cap 25% mid cap 10% large cap Rest growth or sectoral I'm open for any feedback/criticism or suggestions even.

Hi folks, Personally, I thought I should invest in the index fund. Because, I don't want to take the risk with this amount. But I would still like to know 2 things - 1. Is the index fund fine? 2. Is it the right time to invest in lumpsum Or should I do an SIP of 20k? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance :)

Hi, I am 25 years old and I live in Bangalore. I make around 1.35L pm and I’m struggling to understand how much to save or invest in a month. I understand the 50 / 30 / 20 rule but feel like using 50% of my income on needs is a lot. I also do not understand if I should have a different pot for savings (liquid) and investments or if I should be putting aside all my extra money on investments. Also how much is a decent amount to spend on rent + food + lifestyle etc. I like living open heartedly but also feel immensely guilty after splurging too much. How much do you think I should be saving in a month, realistically?

I’ll go first. 1. What kind of investor are you? I am an opportunity investor, and I do buy good stocks whenever they are in reasonable valuations. Below are my monthly numbers. 2. Where’s the majority of your investment portfolio ? I have three RE investments and one of them has loan. And I’m planning to buy a property in Goa or HP. 3. What’s your monthly investment breakdown? 1.7L/ Month (approx) 60k - SIP (mutual funds) 60k - stocks (smallcase, us stocks using vested) 30k - as opportunity fund, this is transferred to a different bank account 10-20k - for experimental investments in crypto, nfts, and some trading. This is a new segment and I don’t have much experience in this and that’s why starting small here. 4. Anything else you want to share? I am learning to invest on a daily basis. Reading, videos and podcasts are my sources. Some of my tops picks are Whiteboard finance (Marko), My first Million and Smart Passive Income, finance with Saran, and Akshat Shrivastava.

I have around 3 lakh sitting i. My saving account. MFs are very high right now, don’t feel like investing as I feel it would come down. Where can I park this money?

Did you know that if you start with investing 90K INR Each Month and step up your sip with 10% every 2 years, assuming 12% returns You’d have over 30CR in 2040? Now obviously you can consider inflation but still if you take out 4% of 30CR each year you would have 1.2CR Each Year i.e. ~10 Lakhs INR every month! Like what even lol.. Is there a catch for this ?
