A sweeper gets paid 25k/month at railway. Why service based company pay the same to a fresher ?
Why do educated graduates are paid the same as a sweeper of railway ? Why do service based company do this , do they think freshers are as worthy as a sweeper ? This is a genuine question, most of the service based companies earn in billions why they choose to pay shit to a hard working student who just got a job ? This is so unfair. I feel they are just taking advantage of them.

Its because it's a capitalistic system where prices are determined by demand and supply.
the founders talk about new generation, not working harder with that kind of money, how they think someone can survive in a metro city, also they don't allow remote work.Atleast give them WFH. They can afford to pay but they choose not to. Also if you don't pay stop bashing new generation on TV interviews.
It might hurt the fragile egos of people who think that they have done a favour on the world by getting a degree and the world now owes them all the comfort and money, but the truth is that a sweeper adds more value than a fresher.
If a sweeper doesn’t turn up for 10 days it would be hell. Freshers - I don’t think anyone would even notice even if they are gone for a month.
Second is that it’s a supply demand balance - there would probably hundreds of freshers willing to do it for 24k.
‘Hard working student’ should try to sweep a couple of public places in this sweltering heat to understand what hard work actually is.
If a sweeper doesn't turn up for 10days they get replaced by a vacuum cleaner, or they can be replaced by some sort of machinery, if you think they add more value do anyone dream of becoming one of them ?
My point still remains. If fresher dosent turn up for a month then also you don’t need it to replace by anything.
There are freshers earning in lakhs if you have the talent and are smart enough. If you are a bottom of the barrel fresher then expect to paid similarly.

That’s like comparing a 5 year old running with an 18 year old running, both are running with 2 legs then why he can’t play Olympics? Bro the sweeper is sweeping since all his life, compare a tech salary with the same experience of the sweeper and you’ll surely get the answer of your question.
Look up the web, a fresher with a degree and a sweeper obviously without a degree, also without exp.... gets paid the same salary.
Just tell me what skills do you need to be a sweeper? You need nothing, 0 skills.
So why these companies treat graduates like they don't have any skills.
Agreed with your observation regarding unfair pay to freshers. But a comparison with a sweeper is not applicable. Sweepers will get the same pay till retirement whereas IT Professionals can skill up and move to higher salaries as YOE increases.

All services companies have formed a cartel to control the salaries. There is nothing we can do. Keep on looking for better opportunities.

Because all IT services need are white collared Sweepers and since there's a huge supply available, so why not ? I remember these IT sevices (WITCH etc) paying 3-4 lpa since last two decades. Why do you think the salaries are so stagnant? Coz there is cheap labour available with no employable skills.
Why do you think they hire even graduates from mechanical/ civil/ electrical etc backgrounds besides CS and IT ? Coz they know they can minimally train them to just do the job. Jobs like Blackbox testing, release engineering etc do not really need much of CS skills. So there's win-win on both ends, people opt for any random Engineer branch, get happy when they get placed even with a 3Lpa job , and the companies can earn after minimal training since they become billable.
The entire IT services echo-system is sustained coz we " less employable white-collared cheap labour" work force available.
And perhaps, the sweeper at the railway station would be working much harder than most of the IT services folks ! 🙂

This is true...most of the guys from other branches who end up doing this is understandable and they are exploited but it's working for them coz they are not unemployed 🥴😲😲😲 and that's how it's rolling since last 2 decades !!!!!!!!
So, other engg branches are fucked up and the students end up in these companies..... BC kya chal Raha hai bhai ....and no one is doing anything about it 😔😔.
