ACCENTURE PROMOTION CYCLES
Hi, Does someone knows is September consider as promotion/hike cycle? I am aware there are 4 cycles - March, June, September and December. However, I have not seen anyone getting any promotion in September maybe I'm not that much aware about. I am in promotion pipeline and my manager told December so I want to know is September still considered as promotion/hike period, this information is very crucial for my career. Kindly share your thoughts!
Yearly promotion cycle is only December, sometimes mid year(June) promotion happened but for very few cases not for all
Only ASE gets promoted quarterly cycles for Default Promotion and TechLeap clearance under certain criteria and it's decided by Accenture's central team but for people above CL-12 promotions will happen in dec cycle usually which is and should be pushed by your supervisors and managers to HR and top brass management.
Some quotas will be there for exceptional candidates in June Cycle whom the project and Accenture wants to retain.
Lets say if there 10 quotas for Dec cycle then there would 3-5 for June cycle.
This is what I've heard and seen.
There are two promotion cycles at Accenture; one is in June and another in December. If you get a promotion in June you will get a hike that month itself. If you get a promotion later you may get a hike either in November or in December. If you are recruited for the same job role that you’ve been doing in your previous company, you might get a promotion within 9 months of joining. So, to answer your question, there are not 4 promotion cycles in Accenture. Also, if your manager has addressed about you getting a promotion/hike in December, sit tight! If the promotion means so much to you, as it should, you can request your manager to prepone it, if possible. You can justify an early promotion and see if that can be arranged. If you are beyond an average performer, the right time for promotion is within 2 years or 1.5 years (fast-track promotion). No matter the cause of your promotion, if you are assured to get it, then you will get it. All you have to do is wait.
In Accenture, the promotion cycles generally take place in March, June and December. However, there can be exceptions for employees to get promotions in September. This generally happens if an employee works on a special project. Since your manager has made it clear that the month of December will be for promotion cycles, you can work accordingly and increase your chances for promotions.
There are different kinds of promotions in Accenture including fast-paced promotions, default promotions, salary hikes and bonus hikes. Since you want to know about the promotion cycle, here it is. Like any other company, Accenture also has two promotion cycles. The first promotion cycle is up to May or June and the second one is up to December. In this cycle, you may get a promotion in terms of roles and responsibilities, a salary hike or both. But, these promotional cycles are subjective, meaning your chances of getting a promotion are 50-50, unlike the default promotions that happen for everyone. If you’re already in the promotion pipeline and if your manager has told you it is December, just talk to him if that could be announced early. If not, then wait till the end of year, to get the good news!
In my experience, Accenture promotion cycles are a bit unclear for many, especially when it comes to the timing of promotions and salary hikes. From what I know, there are typically four key cycles for these evaluations—March, June, September, and December. However, despite being aware of the Accenture promotion cycles, I haven’t personally seen much movement in September. This might be more of an exception than the rule, or maybe I just haven’t been directly exposed to it.
I’m currently in the promotion pipeline and my manager has informed me that December will be the key month for me. This has left me wondering if September is still considered a valid period for promotions or salary hikes. Based on my conversations with colleagues and what I’ve observed, it seems like the majority of people receive their promotions and raises in either the March or December cycles.
I have also heard from others that September isn’t completely off the table. Some teams and departments may still have promotions during this period, depending on business needs and performance reviews. However, if you’re in the pipeline and your manager has specifically mentioned December, I would consider that as the more likely time frame.
This information is critical to my career progression, and I think it’s important to keep an open line of communication with your manager to clarify your specific situation.
