Idiotic idea, not sure why they did this for menu items. Restaurant menu should show real images so that people ordering should have a better picture and decide accordingly. Plain and simple. Looks like some weird Product Manager and Designer might have collaborated thinking the idea will looking cool.

On zomato, I see same food image on multiple restaurants which are not even under the same company. Thats equally misleading.
