Accenture Capability Network is a scam !!

I joined CN with some hope to do strategy work after working for long in the Tech Consulting space. But here the work is pathetic and doesn't even come close to the work I used to do earlier. On top of that so many teams by industry , functions and whatnot and such cut throat competition of staffing and credit. What is this madness. All the people who are long timers here have totally no skillset , I can't fathom how they have survived so long here .

Accenture

Warning Signal: My Experience at Accenture

I joined Accenture two years ago, attracted by its reputation and brand value, particularly after being accustomed to a highly people-centric work environment at my previous company. Unfortunately, especially after the 2023 downsizing announcement, my experience has gone downhill. This message serves as a cautionary tale for mid-level professionals considering joining Accenture. Here's why: 1. *Lack of Peer Support:* Forget collaboration! Instead, you'll encounter individuals solely focused on protecting their own projects, making newcomers feel unwelcome and hindering efficient knowledge transfer. Simple tasks can become frustratingly complex, extending the learning curve from a reasonable 2-3 months to a staggering 8-10 months just to navigate the internal dynamics. 2. *Zero Leadership Support:* Inspirational leadership? Don't expect it. The prevailing "hustle culture" translates to rudeness and unprofessional behavior instead of empathy and understanding. You're essentially on your own. 3. *Favoritism Over Performance:* Leadership seems more interested in flattery than actual results. Seniority and "brown-nosing" appear to be the keys to advancement, not performance. Do minimal work but excel at buttering up your manager, and you're golden! Remember, this is just one perspective based on my experience at two large organizations. However, it highlights the significant impact leaders can have on shaping company culture.

My Experience as Fresher with Workplace Harassment and Forced Resignation at Accenture

I want to share my experience as a fresher at Accenture, my first company from a college placement. The first six months were fine, but then I faced severe mental harassment from my supervisor and manager. She constantly criticized my work and gave negative feedback, causing me immense stress. I often skipped meals and worked weekends to improve, but nothing helped. Despite reporting the issue and requesting a supervisor change or a different track, my requests were ignored. The harassment worsened, affecting my physical health, and I couldn't eat or sleep properly. My manager controlled trivial aspects like where to sit and whom to talk to, making the situation unbearable. I was even forced to switch from a developer role to a tester, despite being trained as a developer. The final straw was being placed on a Performance Improvement Plan (PIP) without a clear reason, with the same harassing individuals assessing me. I only had 1.9 years of experience then. I reported the mental harassment to HR and resigned due to deteriorating health, panic attacks, and weight loss. Despite having no other job offer, I couldn't continue. Even during my notice period, I was forced to complete PIP assignments, which led to suicidal thoughts and further health issues. Now, I am jobless, feeling helpless and frustrated. With less than 2 of experience, I struggle to find offers in a down IT market and don't know what to do next.
