I worked with an early stage startup for 3.5 Years. Since this January they started facing a fund crunch and delayed our salaries. I left the job in May but till date they haven't paid me 3 months salary. Upon asking they say they don't have funds to pay salary, we will pay when we close our funding round. What should I do in this case. Should I wait and hope they will pay or just forget about it any suggestions?

I work at a product startup and it's been 1yr and 3 months now. It is my first job. We are an engineering group of 5 including the CTO. After 5 months I joined, we stopped our B2B product and started working on a B2C product which is very promising. Hey, this is first time working for small startup, it's been almost 2ywars now and this company os not giving me salary slip, I have asked a few times but they keep ignoring the request. Also, being a small startup i don't get any ppf and other benefits. How should I go about it. I have recently heard that not being on ppf may let new recruits doubt about the credibility of work. I'm working as a Frontend developer (SDE-1) with 1.5yoe, I joined this startup 4 months back. Earlier I was getting paid 9lpa and later I was offered 12lpa without even asking for my previous compensation. I accepted because my earlier organisation was very toxic. Now coming to the point, 

I came to know that for the same level and same role they're paying 16+lpa. And this is making me mad at them. 

Within 3 months I'm handling 1 of their 2 products (customer facing) all alone. And I'm doing great work tbh (not boasting) but if they have 10 major features. I have developed 4 of them all alone, solved really critical down time bugs and improved the product. 

Now I own this product and if any bugs come, I'm the person who's assigned the work.

I want to have a chat with the Founder but I'm not sure what to say and he's a guy who will try to save the money at all costs. 

I'm really mad at this point of time and I'm planning to leave in a few months. 

If I have a chat with him and he says something harsh, I will resign then and there I'm triggered to this level. 

And there was no kind of appreciation from them, I'm taking most tickets during the sprints and delivering quality code, communicating well and thinking in terms of product, if there is anything which can be improved I ask from them.

How do I have a chat with him and what do I say?

Expected CTC - 16 - 20lpa
YOE- 1.5 (planning to have the call around 3-4 months later), so I will be almost 2 yoe by then.

So, I am an analytics guy with almost 5.5 YoE under my belt. My latest transition was to Phonepe that I made this year (feeling shitty here already, given the kind of work creating almost no impact)
I saw a post on LinkedIn where the CEO of this startup recently raised some pre-seed funding (~1.5mn). Since I was following them for almost 6-7 months before this, I reached out to the founder on LinkedIn. 
We first had a virtual call where we got to know each other and after that discussion, he called me over to his place where we further talked about the idea, the scope and the future while also discussing what I could bring to the table. Post that, we met again, and this time with the other co-founder who deep-dived a slight bit into the tech stack that I had worked on.
It seems that all is going well, but the founder, in the first face to face meeting told me that for the time being (for almost the next 3-4 months), he'll be able to pay me a monthly amount which is less than half of my current in hand pay, post which it'll be reviewed and adjusted accordingly. How do I negotiate this now? Also, since the team size is super small (only 5 full time folks and one customer support part timer), how do I negotiate on what equity I take (looking for a benchmark number here)?

Last year March, I was hired as Growth & Marketing Lead in one of the companies abroad at 30LPA (Remote). Now, they are shutting the project I’m in and have received a notice. 

I’m a Marketer by profession with expertise in 0-1 growth in startups. I’ve 8 YOE. Now the problem is, 0-1 startups in India can’t afford me easily and other startups say I don’t have experience in series B and further kind of startups. 

If 0-1 have got good funding amount, they still want to hire someone who has experience of scaling Series A and further kind of startups. 

The basic chicken and egg problem. 

Although I’m trying to apply for the companies abroad, I’m super confused what should I do now. I’ve emergency funds to sustain 3 months but don’t want to rely on that.

So I joined a company through a referral. The referral is from a good friend that I trust. After joining the company, there were issues like a laptop taking time to get delivered etc. 

After 2-3 weeks, my RM, the CEO started showing the true colors. He started accusing me of cheating during the interview assignment. Said, I should work on my personal laptop (I don't have any) and when I told him that I don't have it, he just simply mocked me for it.

I joined Infosys as a fresher in June 2021, and my first project has been and still is in the Financial domain for one of the Netherlands banks. As I haven't seen any increment in my salary or a hike from management after 2.6 years of working, I decided to start looking for a switch from January 2024. I received an offer from another company which offers close to a 170% hike (my current CTC is 4.10 LPA) and requires me to work from Hyderabad (currently working from Pune) I have submitted my resignation. My manager countered with an offer of a hike of 15-20% or an opportunity for onsite work in the Netherlands for 6 months, though this isn't immediate—it would be after a colleague returns, as he is going onsite first for 6 months starting in August. So, I may need to wait until next year and continue working on the same salary for 7 to 8 months. I am inclined to explore the onsite opportunity, but also feeling stuck from financial side. I'm unsure about what would be most beneficial for me in the long run. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. 🙏 Thank you!

"For the part-time role, we require 20 hours of work per week, and for full-time, we expect 40 hours of work per week.

We are currently raising Seed to launch our product, and while the challenge is significant, the impact you can make is also substantial. Currently, none of our team members receive a salary and work for future equity, and you would be in the same situation. However, as we raise more funds (which we have already started to do), we plan to pay market wages. This is standard practice for pre-seed startups."

Need advice for a founding member role

I've 3 yoe, currently working in a very small startup as full-stack dev. Company's revenue is declining from Q4 last year.

Every month layoffs are happening in each team. Last week, a dev was laid off from my team.

No hike till now, working here from last 1.5 years. Although, got performance bonus twice.

I want to work on a few ideas, tried to work on weekends but it led to burn out and started affecting my health, suffered from mental fatigue.

Hello everyone,  So I am an ML intern and a 2024 cs graduate, I have been doing internships since 3rd year of my engineering  and right now I am interning at an startup since 1 year and I don't have any full time offer as of now and the startup where I am interning is also not talking about full time offer, so what should I do now, ask for increment in stipend, ask for full time offer(talked to them in December, HR told will see when in April may, when we will raise funding, he also added "consider that you will not get" but I still kept interning) or keep applying at other places?

Dilemma of joining

I used to work in a early stage startup. Got selected from campus placement and they provided hefty fix pay(16 lpa) + 16 lpa ( spread across 4 years including esop and bonus) (totally fraud to come on day 0 in IIT). They now fired me. I interview at many startup and they are expecting too much from 6 months experience candidate. I am in between of offer from Deloite but they are only paying (11 lpa fix). What shall i do? So I joined a startup on Oct, 23(6 months completed).  They are struggling to raise funds. From Jan, they started layoffs from ops and customer support, went to major cost-cutting: no tea, snacks, giving the floor to rent, restricting the leaves: like for leave, you have to get approval from HR and the CEO, not the manager.  I'm in a tech team, and multiple products are lined up for release, so work is there, but ultra micro-managing. I'm getting opportunities but I'm not sure whether to switch or not. 

I leave my last job in 5 months due to their funding issue. That's why I'm skeptical to leave or not.
