ESOPs
How do you tell your boss that he/she is keeping all the ESOPs and doing 10% of the work and I am getting peanuts?

Let's talk about being highly underpaid. It's a reality many of us face, yet it's often shrouded in silence. Whether you're in a corporate job, a creative field, or any profession, feeling undervalued and underpaid can be demoralizing and unjust. It's not just about the numbers on our paycheck; it's about the recognition of our worth, our skills, and our contributions.
Too often, we find ourselves in situations where our hard work and dedication are not adequately compensated. We put in long hours, go above and beyond our job descriptions, and yet, when it comes time to discuss salaries, we're met with excuses or paltry raises that barely keep pace with inflation. It's a cycle that perpetuates feelings of frustration, resentment, and even imposter syndrome.
But here's the thing: We don't have to accept being undervalued. We can speak up, advocate for ourselves, and demand fair compensation for our efforts. It might be uncomfortable, and it might require us to challenge the status quo, but it's essential for our well-being and the integrity of our professions.
Employers need to recognize the importance of fairly compensating their employees. It's not just about the bottom line; it's about fostering a culture of respect, appreciation, and mutual benefit. When employees feel valued and adequately compensated, they're more engaged, productive, and loyal.
So, if you're feeling highly underpaid, know that you're not alone. It's a widespread issue that deserves attention and action. Whether it's through salary negotiations, seeking out better opportunities, or advocating for change within our organizations, let's stand together and demand the compensation we deserve. Because when we value ourselves, others will too.
The only solution to this is keep changing companies in every 2 yrs interval
Yeah one of my friend changed company for every 1 to 1.5 years now he is having package of 22 LPA now currently having 3.5 years experience . He learns continuously. He prepares for interview everyday and at the same time upskill himself which is very hard for a working professional I think.
My trick exactly
In a startup company joined as intern as frontend dev , for one month worked as frontend dev and then they changed me to testing team then now I'm in backend it has been 8 months but they are not paying me anything. 🥲 I'm managing with my income with my freelancing . But a small hope will be getting paid soon as there is requirement. I'm asking them but they are skipping it. I joined because I was jobless. I'm learning so many things which is fine for now . Hoping for best things to happen 🤞
You should switch Now u have experience+ have a skills with practical experience You will get many offers All the best 👍
Create dependency on yourself and ask money
My company has colleagues in the same position with 60% salary disparity
I'm B.Tech. engineer, spent 16 years of education, I did B.tech from private engineering college (you can imagine the education fees of engineering colleges and hostel fees) ..I passed out 2014 . Today I have 9+ YOE and my package is just 15lpa, Now you see how underpaid I am. Whenever I am alone and think all these things, I get too much overthinking and tention. More hurts when you see many people join in front of you in your team with less than your experience and they now switched and having 30+LPA.
I work in the same org and have 300% salary disparity. It just sucks.
Management of any company will not address pay disparity issue because they only cares about their variable bonuses which is mostly dependent upon the margins. So they dont care about you, they know that you will write these posts here and there, crib about them behind their back even say foul language to them. But what matters is their pay which is huge. So they are happy driving their cars / going to vacations while u crib around and still come to ofc the next day and work with same frustration.
Well said
Pay disparity sucks.
