ESOPs
How do you tell your boss that he/she is keeping all the ESOPs and doing 10% of the work and I am getting peanuts?
This is so true. When I put in papers from last job(startup), people were shocked I didn't have esops. I didn’t know it was an option to negotiate. But anyhow they had 8 years vesting period
only useless Shitty ESOPS are given in plenty to workers. If they even suspect a possible payout, they woudnt share it.
If you don't have ESOP and consider yourself valuable, that is one less (main) reason to stay in the company. ESOPs are supposed to be retention incentive for people to stay longer and grow with the company
Idk if they really ever cash out. Sure if u stay long enuf smthng will happen. But just to stay for that day to come by is not worth
