Advise for freshers graduating in this yr

What would be your advise for freshers graduating this year from tier 2 and tier 3 colleges with no hopes of campus placements given the current hiring scenario?

don’t be too picky, take the job and apply to any role that is open, keep your interest secondary to getting a job that puts food on the table atleast

Brace up folks. Don’t lose hope, don’t get depressed. I had faced one offer revocation long back, which had led to waste of 1 year. After struggle of one year, even trying Bangalore stay for 3-4 months, a random chance had come along, a pool offcampus drive for previous year’s passouts, and that had given me chance to enter corporate world. So don’t lose hope, keep trying. A couple of more specific suggestions- (1) Add seniors/acquaintances to your circle. Keep asking them periodically if they notice any fresher vacancies in their organisation and request them to refer. (2) If financial condition allows, move to Bangalore. Stay there a couple of months. You can take some testing training there, and search for job parallelly. Or you can just study and search for Job. In my times, there used to be random freshers walk-in drive there where all freshers used to rush. It used to be highly crowded though, so be prepared. (3) Many companies keep conducting freshers drive for already passed out batches. So keep a lookout, have a network of similar situation friends to get such news in time. (4) Keep applying through Naukri/LinkedIn. If you find HR’s email IDs, keep emailing them resume. They may never revert, but your job is to keep trying.

Campus placements are overrated, my advice to anyone would be, if you're relying on them, you're doomed.

Build a portfolio and market yourself on LinkedIn, if you've got the talent, no recession in the world can hamper your career plans
