Altercation with my Senior Manager

I am serving my notice and my SM was forcing me to deliver on an unrealistic timeline. I highlighted that it can't be achieved to which they started scolding, raising voice and not listening to me. To which I said I can support only the capacity of my current role and can't manage the entire project. Later they told me that being on notice doesn't mean you work at lower levels. To which I said I am not happy with the work and treatment here and hence I am leaving. I in the end I said that I can support the team as needed during my working hours and if the quality of my output is not satisfactory I don't mind stepping aside. To which they got more angry and asked me to finish things again as per the timelines.

How can this affect me?

I am on SM role, i can say you are not loosing anything but you are just playing with your sm ego. Ask in mail to share the task with timelines, and give feedback for each task. Just say you need more help to complete this in this timeline. Just pass the ball to next person.

Was doing exactly this. But they are being unrealistic and not even wanting to listen . But yes I like your approach of putting everything on the mail.

Never say NO just say I’m on it and be on it till your last day.

That's what I was doing but they started yelling at me and asking to commit on timelines

Smile and ask to work on his anger. For further burn ask to maintain professional standards. There are some words when used not only puts fear in corporate slaves but also brick walls any further aggression. If you are a women your power gets boosted twice with the right words.

You are already leaving. Just serve your NP and don’t take stress. There is nothing that a manager can do at this stage. Document this behaviour and mention during exit interview.
