TL;DR

Silicon Valley is dry and dying in February.

Almost 2cr people live in Bengaluru and outskirts, dependent on kaveri, borewell and tanker water.

Kaveri water - Stalin and Sidda are busy in cage fight and at end they will abuse NaMo for this also.

Lakes are exploited by corrupt politicians alongwith bbmp, bda and corrupt beaureaucrats.

Borewell ain't working as climate change ruined water level due to shift in monsoon rain pattern.

Tanker mafia again ready to loot.

North India is lucky to have 3 all year river like ganges, indus and brahmaputra. Due to Himalayas glaciers they are all weather rivers

Sadly south India has 3 major river like godavari, narmada and kaveri but all are monsoon river.

Water was already having 1000 tds and now that water is also unavailable.

I will never buy those shitty 1cr houses at Bangalore or even land due to this water crisis.

I see lots of posts about water crisis in Bangalore like people going mall to 💩. Office saying employees to work from home. So many things I am hearing. But I never felt that water shortage. Just wanted to know how real is this ?

Is water crisis is real?

As cloud seeding is widely used by governments across the world to induce artificial rain, I wonder why Karnataka Government has not yet explored this path. They seem to have all the scientific support in the form of DRDO,ISRO,AIR FORCE locally available. 

Can someone throw some light on this?

I spoke with some friends in Bellandur, Sharjapur and they all claim they have no problem whatsoever. However, the media is going crazy everywhere. Just wondering what areas are hit the most with water scarcity?

Don't take this post negatively but think hard and put your views. We all agree that India is doing great at this point of time but no one , literally no one is talking about the danger future we have in front of us in coming years.
Below points need immediate attention and action 

1) Huge water crises in all the major cities and it will only get worse each year.
2) Corruption still relevant in almost all government works from land registration to traffic fines to railway ticket fines, you name it. 
3) We really need one child policy for some years now otherwise we can't imagine how dark the future is in all terms, from food to employment to natural resources.
4) Almost every food product from oil, ghee, butter is contaminated and the quality is just getting worse, to meet demand and to increase profits. Also corruption here.
5) The weather is just getting worse because of all the concrete jungles we have created and this will also get worse , thanks to our never ending population explosion.


Barack Obama rightly said recently that we should focus on improving the health of earth rather than finding life on Mars.
Earth will still have oxygen even after nuclear energy wars.

Sometimes I really think that we need real Thanos , who is the only one who can help solve these problems.

Our summers are becoming dangerous with every passing day, gone are the days of your childhood where 35degreed  would be peak of the day.
It's not even April yet and the temperature is barely going below 30s even at night, and it's not specific to one place, across the India whoever I talk to shares the same experience,
And the sad part is it's only going to get worse, more trees will be cut down to build highways and infrastructure to sustain our population and its needs, we still have to pull out 100s of million people out of acute low income level.
Global warming will be our biggest challenge in the following decades.
What is grapeviners opinion on this?

- rainfall has reduced
- > 70% lakes have dried up/covered up by builders
- its not even feb and there is shortage of water everywhere. There are people literally carrying jugs of water on their head like villages if you head out after evenings.
- brigade/sobha/prestige societies with flats > 1.5 cr have put out notices with water supply being cut for more than 6 hours everyday, wtf is Bangalore real estate really 
- water supply here was really bad initially ( hard water, polluted water) but the water shortage in feb only is really worrisome.

I want to understand homeowners/aspiring homeowners - how are you planning for this? Are You even worried about this?
Or even people thinking of settling long term in Bangalore, thoughts about this?
