Have any of you used threads/ are using threads? Recently I checked it , and all I see are corporation/organisation post, not a single post by a creator.

Hey all, we are based in Bangalore, planning to move to Sans Francisco, rejected YC term sheet, and building geo-located MutualSpaces for people to discover, engage and connect with people within the city over common needs/ideas/wants.

Vision Alignment: Basically, you post any request/post and it will get delivered to relevant people (not random & general people) for acceptance/discussion within the city. Need a canvas from an oil painter or AI engineer for your project or specific co-founder request or discovering travel/event partner, COD gamers within the neighborhood, your post will reach relevant people and get connected.

Reality Check: Fancy and imaginary, right? Yes, that is the ideal concept and we will be making the platform closest to the ideal one using current AI technology, NLP to create a user's personality person to predict their mutualism. (Data exhaustive) 

Product GTM: Our initial product will be different, doing different things to get enough people on the network, -kind of a replacement for your online messaging groups. We know the messaging format of online group sucks, i.e Discord channels were developed, which also sucked for 0-6 users groups.

Achievement: <95% positive responses from our PoC while testing our thesis. We built it in the first 1.5 months and today we crossed 7 months understanding and researching people's wants in detail and planning product GTM to onboard massive users. Building is easier, the question was what.

Do you know? Global Networks are often run by 5% creators and 95% social consumers, while discussion networks are run by more than 10-40-65% participants like Hood-GV-Reddit.

Saw this on Twitter today, found this interesting and loved the idea. 

The app is named - Jamm. A members-only social network that helps you meet all kinds of people over fun activities IRL. Tagline - ‘Never Have Another Boring Week’.

The idea behind this as per founder (Able Joseph) is to improve the social health/life of its members. The more like-minded the community, the nicer its interactions will be. 


Here’s how it works.
- Apply for membership
- Once accepted, pick an activity (board games, bike rides, etc.) and post a Jamm
- Receive requests from other members who are interested to be a part of your Jamm
- Curate the people you wish to bring together
- Coordinate with the Jammers on group chat
- Meet them IRL and have a good time

Interesting to see how they’ll be solving security challenges associated with meeting people. Also, I guess this could also turn out to be a hookup app.

Most of the people just keep adding so many irrelevant pictures to their posts!! I mean what do they get out of it. If it’s anything to do with regards to the picture, I understand. Other than that, it has become a trend to add photos to the posts. They say they will have greater reach and greater views. It’s so annoying. I don’t understand the difference between Instagram and LinkedIn. Most of the time I feel Instagram is better than LinkedIn. All these so called entrepreneurs have also started doing this shit and feels 😖😣

It's a social crisis moment we're having.

Why it's happening:

- Rapid inflation
- Social apps are more addictive than ever
- Spatial computing
- Rise of immersive and social gaming
- People are playing the "creator" game
- Going out is expensive 
- Devices are more "controllable" than the outside world
- Peer pressure to be on devices (social, work)

We're all kinda drunk on technology. Anxiety and sadness at all time levels.

Someone will make us $1B helping us be less addicted to our phones and technology over the next 5 years.

They won't be the same person.

The two ways to make money in this world are:

1) Get people more addicted to screens
2) Get people off screens

You're either building the next big board games company or the next big dating app for VR

You're either building the next big peer-to-peer events company or the next big internet community

You're either building the next big Soho House or the next big SaaS app

You get the idea. 

People are craving connection.

It's just coming out in weird ways.

The Social Network 🛜 idea 💡

Is it just mine or is everyone’s LinkedIn blowing up with absolute crap. Like the most basic thing people are posting and making it sound like they discovered something huge or they’ve found some crazy insights. 

Everyone is trying to build their own LinkedIn brand and it’s just become frustrating. 

A lot of recruiters/founders still put out hiring posts on LinkedIn 

Some funny posts - 

- All founders acting like they’ve achieved something huge by being on the Forbes/times now/etc 40 under 40 list 
- Today someone posted about the business model of Shyamji Chole Bhature 
- People copy pasting the same fake stories

Amazing UX, thoughtfully crafted UI...much better than Twitter. 

Overall from a product standpoint, I like the ecosystem angle that Meta is creating for the social media space (like how Apple built its ecosystem).

If the content is unlike Instagram now, I think it's a great strategic move by Zuck, especially when there's so much restructuring going on at Twitter.
