Hello viners! I'm a 2023 B.Tech graduate from Tier-1 college. My offer has been delayed so I'm looking for software engineering opportunities, both full-time or internship would do. I looked a lot on LinkedIn and other job boards but most of the openings have a min. 1 year experience required.

I'm creating this post for people who are hiring freshers and for freshers who are looking for opportunities including me. I request people who have any leads to put it in the comments (startups are most welcomed). There are a lot of guys like me who are struggling so please take some time out and help us. Hey guys, I'm stuck in an MNC currently without any real world project for almost half an year now. I've been building projects on my own and looking for a switch. Since, situation in the market is a little tight, I'm hardly finding any non internship opportunities for freshers. Kindly let me know of any sources or any suggestions on how to move on from here. Hello everyone.. can anyone suggest some tech related IT domain in which I can enter as a fresher .. basically I am not a fresher I have 2 years of gap I am 2021 mech passout.. I have knowledge of advanced SQL, intermediate python, basics of c/c++ ,Excel,POWER BI .. please  suggest some domains other than data analytics it's very crowded there...and as I am having difficulties getting a decent or tech related job .. I also thought about full stack web d. but it is also very  crowded I want to get a job this year itself as I have already wasted a lot of time.

I’ve been working as a SWE for GE in Bangalore for nearly two years. First of all the WLB and culture here is incredible. I honestly can’t believe how great the WLB is over here, I work maybe 20 hours a week on average and am rarely ever stressed about anything. They’re not strict about WFO so I can chill at home most of the time. No fixed timings and I also get a ton of leaves. There’s no micromanagement and the culture is chill and professional. Perks are about average for any large MNC. We have a beautiful company campus with plenty of car parking space for everyone.

Obviously your mileage may vary depending on the your team, it’s possible I just got lucky.

The only con is that the pay is shit. Fresher SWEs are paid around 12 LPA while seniors might earn around 30. Not possible to earn 60+ unless you’re in a leadership position.

What does unemployment around you look like? Or if not around us, for people trying to come out of Tier 2/3 towns. These mass recruiters (behemoths like Capgmeni & Cognizant + TCS Infosys) are actually the gateway for many into a city life. In the absence of it, it's scary to think what they're up to.

What happens to those 1.5L students/professionals? Scares me everyday.
