Over the past few months the price difference betweem e-commerce websites and stores during sale period have decreased with Reliance Digital and Croma being at par or better than Fk or Amz in terms of pricing (except a few poster items)

Fashion based e-commerce in India is even worse with size issues, courier frauds and high returns. Companies are now charging a non refundable delivery/convinience fee to become profitable.

Reliance has drastically reduced investments in e-commerce and is focussing on expanding offline presence.

I am tempted to buy an entry model luxury watch. More specifically automatic with a budget of 1-5lacs. But I also know it’s waste of money in some sense abd it would be a sentimental buy. I don’t own / like apple / smart watches. Already have a Tissot with Chrono , Fossil, Casio digital watches . Any recommendations and feedback if you were in the same spot? And if you own one - is it worth it you would rather put in stocks? Any specific recommendations except for Rolex Oyster Pepertual or Omega Seamaster, etc

The Nike app barely gives 25% off while price tags on Nike shoes are so low on Flipkart. They do write it’s genuine and the box which comes seems pretty legit too. So how do they sell it for so low?

I was casually scrolling across Amazon looking for a smartwatch for a family member,  when I came across this tag called Country of Origin on the product description details section. To my surprise most of the so-called Indian brands like Noise and Boat have Country of Origin specified as surprise surprise *China*.

I felt kinda disgusting tbh. Then I scrolled over the list of products that I have purchased over Amazon ranging from mouse pads to Milton water bottles and almost all of them had this country of origin from China, except for the Bhagwat Purana copy(Thank God).

I think we Indians are by sheer ignorance depleting India's forex reserves and demoting efforts by our Entrepreneur to manufacture in India. We may end up getting cheap products but it costs us loss in GDP and job opportunities in India. I guess we could take a lesson out of the Japanese book where Japanese people don't buy non-Japanese products. It's a conscious decision.
