Don't know about 30L but companies do pay 1 crpa even if you have no experience.

Wait wtf?I have 2 years of experience in ml making around 10.2. lpa(expecting hike).Even if I switch now at max I can go up to 25 LPA(Only if I have competing offers). At least that's what I think.

easily CRs, the amount of profit AS makes for amazon is insane, I worked there as an intern, and the project I worked on probably will generate them millions.

Depends on what you know as an ML engineer. A role of thumb: If you find a model is not working for a specific set of data. Your solution to the problem is: “let’s train the model on that data.” Then likely no. You need to know the why. And have an intuition in cases where the precise answer is not known.

Similar stuff that goes with data engineers and orchestration work. If you understand the why, you are worth that salary.

So if you are very very exceptional sure . But if you have knowledge equivalent to a 12-13 year exp employee a company would prefer to hire an experienced employee simply because he is experienced and matured.
