As a intern, what is the most impactful work which you did for your company ?

I remember making 7000/month and spending all of it on travelling by Uber everyday because my dad didn't let me use the car and the Summer heat was making me melt. I needed an AC so I instantly blew almost 4000 rupees/month on just Ubers. With the rest I went to a nice restaurant with my mom+dad for lunch and it is my most memorable moment in life. I felt like I had grown up. The internship was also nice and I learnt a lot of things about building systems for a startup. It was one of the best 8 weeks I had spent learning something new and cool. I bet I used to look like Shinchan in this picture when I was in the office and seeing 40 year olds talking to 20 year olds like they were their buddies. I was about to call them uncle hahaha. What was your story from your First Job/ Internship?

I joined Morgan Stanley India as a spring intern this January. I was supposed to work for 6 months and would have been converted to a full time employee post the internship. I worked my ass off and got outstanding feedback from my manager (VP) and their managers as well (ED). On the other hand I kept asking my manager about my progress and chances of conversion. He assured me that I was an extraordinary intern and he kept assigning me work other than my project. I also interacted with other people in the organisation and received great feedback from them (upto MD level). Now coming to last week, I had a chat with my manager about the same, he informed me that the organisation has gone into a hiring freeze just 2 weeks back and thus I won't be getting converted to a FTE. Also this info is not public yet and a lot of the other interns have no idea what the situation is here. The people in my team have offered to help me out with opportunities outside the firm but there's nothing they can do inside for me. The most they can do is give me LORs but nothing more. I am a recent graduate with 2 years of experience as an intern at multiple startups and MNCs. Can the folks here help me out. Also is there anything I can do at the firm?

How much stipend in a startup one can expect being in final year undergrad from top government college in B.Tech and have done an internship of 100k form a top tech firm in past.

Hey everyone, heading into my first internship this summer, no other work experience and want to hear from full time employees on the lesser known things that secure the return offer. By this I mean things other than being able to adapt to work, ask questions, not making same mistake over and over - basically the things that aren't talked about but from your perspective really makes huge a difference in your opinion on the intern. Have worked in edtech, crypto and fintech, been through layoff (as an intern 😀), got multiple offers within 10 days of being laid off, got the PPO denied from one while got the PPO from the other. Have seen founders with half a billion of funding boast about their culture and seen them layoff 120 folks the very next month. Yes, its nothing compared to what the very well experienced folks on this platform have seen and experienced and gone through, but it's honest work :) So ask me anything 😀

I'll be joining Tredence as a Data Science Associate and got it on campus from a tier 3 college. CTC 12LPA. What should I expect?

I was interning with a logistics visibility company called FourKites. (SDE Intern) Joined in June 2023 and left in March 2024. They made us work like mules. As interns, we used to do same work as that of SDE-1 and SDE-2 . Bug fixes, working on features, automation , QA, everything we did for 25k stipend hoping that we would get PPO in the end. In March, they told us that only 6 out of 40 interns will be given PPO, rest all can fuck off by 31 may. I resigned the same day but still haven't gotten a single OA except for IBM and IBM didn't reply after the OA. I feel frustrated and lost.
