Only thing I would add is asset statement and proofs of the entries therein. Your ultimate goal is to convince them that you are not going to permanently stay there but come back because you have a permanent base here in India - do whatever you have to do for that

Anyone here who has applied for us tourist visa. I got the appointment for next year 2025 in july the waiting time is very long.

I watched some videos and people say join the telegram group, chrome extension etc or check daily on the portal also you can only reschedule your appointments 3 times.

Also is it true that immigration department releases slots very often and you just have to find dates?

Planning to go to US on f1 visa and would be getting married before l go to study for my masters. My husband would be in UK that time. How difficult would it be for him to get B2 visa for US when he is applying on his own just for tourist purposes. He later plans to come to US visa the student route.

In short, I visited the US in 2018 for a exposure trip sponsored by the government as part of a startup competition I won with my team. Consequently, I now hold a valid B1/B2 visa until 2028.

At times, I wonder how I could leverage this visa for my benefit. Currently, I have no engagements in the US but can visit friends there if I land there.

I have a remote job with flexible hours, although I'm not sure if my company allows working from different time zones. However, I believe I could manage that somehow.

Do you think it makes sense to go and stay there for some time to explore? I feel this could be beneficial in the long term.

On the flip side, it's worth noting that this isn't necessary and may not be a wise financial choice.

I'm a self employed software engineer working as a remote contractor for a Berlin based German company. My employer is organizing a company-wide meet for 4 days in April. I also need to visit there. I've got a few queries.

1. Which VISA should I apply for, Business, Tourist or any other?
2. I also intend to stay there for 4 more days apart from 4 days of my official visit (total 8 days) to explore the country. If it's going to be a business VISA, can I also travel using my business visa as a tourist to other places in Germany?
3. If I want to stay there a bit longer as a tourist to explore the city and the country, will I need the invite with the extended dates or can I have the invite with the official dates, book departure flight of 4 days later and can stay 4 more days as a tourist to learn more about the city?
4. If I am provided with the lodgings accommodations for the 4 days from company's end, will I need to pre-book my lodgings accommodations for the rest of the 4 days before applying for the VISA?

So I got a job offer from a company named pixel group Ltd based in kensas, USA for a frontend developer role. They are asking me to attend a 7 day seminar at the office at USA for onboarding and everything will be sponsered. But I got this offer even without a single f2f interview. 1st was a video resume round, 2nd was a technical round and 3rd was a psychometric test. That's it no f2f interview. Is it some sort of scam?? I can't find any details about the company. Please help me.

 My question is:

Any do's and don't's when applying for jobs as an immigrant moving to the US on a dependent visa? -- especially in the creative fields (copywriting, graphic design etc). 

Background: A BA (three-year program) in Psychology. Pursuing higher education in the states isn't feasible for me in the first few years. 

Work experience: 2 years in Tier-2 city ad agencies. A portfolio of work. 

Suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I don't buy Apple products but some electronics are way cheaper there that I'd like to explore, like a good quality fitness tracker for dad.

Would it be possible to hunt for jobs/consulting gigs while I'm there on a tourist visa? Visiting SF would be impossible, I'm mostly restricted to Michigan and the trip is going to be 2-3 weeks max.

I have received an official communication to initiate the process of L1B visa. I have heard rumours that companies initiate and help you in getting the visa but when it comes to actually sending you to US they delay the travel by 3 months citing budget constraints.

Anybody have heard or experienced this in their organisation? 

P.S. On the sidelines, I have secured and offer letter which is 2X my current CTC.

I wanted to hear from this community, what would you do in this case? Considering L1B rumours mighty be some strategy to retain employees.
