I don't buy Apple products but some electronics are way cheaper there that I'd like to explore, like a good quality fitness tracker for dad.

Would it be possible to hunt for jobs/consulting gigs while I'm there on a tourist visa? Visiting SF would be impossible, I'm mostly restricted to Michigan and the trip is going to be 2-3 weeks max. 

Any other suggestions? Advice? I'm visiting after more than a decade (last visit pre 9/11), has anything changed significantly that I should keep in mind?

I am 31 M and am married with no kids as of yet. 

I have been to the US for my master's and also did a job there for some time. I came back to India in 2020 due to visa issues. 

Ever since then I have been thinking of going out of India, maybe to Canada (or nowadays Nordic countries are also accepting immigrants). But I am confused and unsure of what to do. 

I feel stuck here at my current job and feel like I haven't grown much. There are a lot of opportunities in other countries and the biggest motivation is lifestyle upgradation.

On the other hand, going to other countries would also mean a lot of struggle at this stage of my life, which I did the first time around when I went to the US. Plus there is this war situation happening in multiple countries. No one knows what will happen of that.

One more factor is - India is also doing fairly well and is seen as having the maximum growth potential in the next 5-10 years

What do you suggest? What are the points that I should consider? 

Also if I were to try to move out, which countries would you recommend I look at? What are the benefits?

Which country is best to work as a software developer. I am an SDE 1 in India planning to go abroad.

I have left my full-time job, and now working on three ideas with different teams:

2. A digital 1st DSA for home loan distribution (still in the ideation phase).
3. A unique approach to solve for cyber security and infosec, in talks with a big tech client (inspired by Sprinto).

I am planning a trip for SFO in Aug. to knock on different doors for any synergies. I have no agenda for my trip, just meeting folks to see if any opportunities arise.  

I wanted to know from the community how to get intros and meet with folks there. It would be very helpful if anyone who has done this kind of trip and could share takeaways.

Planning a trip to SFO for 2-3 weeks

In short, I visited the US in 2018 for a exposure trip sponsored by the government as part of a startup competition I won with my team. Consequently, I now hold a valid B1/B2 visa until 2028.

At times, I wonder how I could leverage this visa for my benefit. Currently, I have no engagements in the US but can visit friends there if I land there.

I have a remote job with flexible hours, although I'm not sure if my company allows working from different time zones. However, I believe I could manage that somehow.

Do you think it makes sense to go and stay there for some time to explore? I feel this could be beneficial in the long term.

On the flip side, it's worth noting that this isn't necessary and may not be a wise financial choice.

What do you guys think?

Now I'm in the process of visa interview.

I make 20 LPA in India. Is it a good idea to leave this job and move to USA to get a better job?

I was thinking of travelling abroad for vacation in December. Any tips/hacks for a first time traveller? Like should I get the air tickets done now, or closer to December. What would be cheaper? Any do's and don't's when applying for jobs as an immigrant moving to the US on a dependent visa? -- especially in the creative fields (copywriting, graphic design etc). 

Background: A BA (three-year program) in Psychology. Pursuing higher education in the states isn't feasible for me in the first few years.

I'm a self employed software engineer working as a remote contractor for a Berlin based German company. My employer is organizing a company-wide meet for 4 days in April. I also need to visit there. I've got a few queries.

1. Which VISA should I apply for, Business, Tourist or any other?
2. I also intend to stay there for 4 more days apart from 4 days of my official visit (total 8 days) to explore the country. If it's going to be a business VISA, can I also travel using my business visa as a tourist to other places in Germany?
3. If I want to stay there a bit longer as a tourist to explore the city and the country, will I need the invite with the extended dates or can I have the invite with the official dates, book departure flight of 4 days later and can stay 4 more days as a tourist to learn more about the city?
4. If I am provided with the lodgings accommodations for the 4 days from company's end, will I need to pre-book my lodgings accommodations for the rest of the 4 days before applying for the VISA?
