I have received an official communication to initiate the process of L1B visa. I have heard rumours that companies initiate and help you in getting the visa but when it comes to actually sending you to US they delay the travel by 3 months citing budget constraints.

Anybody have heard or experienced this in their organisation? 

P.S. On the sidelines, I have secured and offer letter which is 2X my current CTC.

I wanted to hear from this community, what would you do in this case? Considering L1B rumours mighty be some strategy to retain employees.

Which companies are known for intra company transfer to US through L1A and L1B visas?

When deciding on someone to transfer, what do they look for, I.e., performance, leadership traits, anything else?

I am specifically looking for banking/consulting industry, however any other industry information is also welcome.

My partner works at a product company that has a US HQ quite close to where I live and work. She is what you would call a critical resource of the company leading and driving multiple projects. She likes her role and while she will be relocating to US, wants to do everything to keep it in one way or another. 

Besides from the usual process of submitting resignation, how can she make effective use of the fact that she could potentially move here internally on an L1 visa or worst case keep connections warm and re-apply for a role here after relocating to US. Anything better than notice period and severing all ties. 

My perception of moving internally to US/Europe has been that its not only extremely difficult because companies here would prefer having an India cost center given its layoff/recession season in US but also due to the challenge of headcount requirements in the same business unit. Besides an L1 application costs about $15k. 

All of these factors make things trickier for her to keep her job in some form or the other.

How should she make the most of this situation? Are there any other outcomes here that I am missing?

So I guess I hit the mid-life career crisis and finally resigned from Microsoft abruptly yesterday. 

Reasons for resignation:
1. I am saturated with my work and feel out of fuel now.
2. No Pay Raise or Stocks since 2 years.
3. No Promo in last 2 years even after being a top performer and winning multiple awards and accolades.
4. Was promised by my manager that I will be promoted in Feb but now he/she quotes budget.

What my manager says:
1. You have a valid L1B, don't resign.
2. Says you will get the promo in September but now it is not possible.

Please Note: I resigned abruptly without any offers in hand. I guess managers think that folks who have L1B won't resign so their promo can be delayed.

I was laid off 3 weeks ago. I've appeared for 9 companies, 7 of which were small scale companies who asked either extremely tough questions or questions on outdated technologies that I don't have experience on(.Net Developer) 
I was able to crack L1 Technical Interviews with the other two companies (MNCs) and they haven't reverted back with the result of the second round yet, saying that they'd reach out by next week. I don't trust HRs so Idk if this is a lie or not. 
The market seems tough and cracking interviews is becoming difficult by the day probably because of the sheer volume of applicants and numerous choices that companies have. 
How many interviews should I expect to give more before I land a job? Moral support dedo.

TLDR: Have appeared for 9 interviews with no success in the past 20 days. How much more time is this going to take? Need some guidance.

Jun 14 - offer letter not released yet.

The hiring manager says, still Client SHI rate approval is pending. Should I wait for CGI offer or just continue with offer in hand.??

I will finish 2 years in may, I worked as business analyst for 1 year 8 months and took release in order to get into a React Js project, I gave rmg all my skills, he said he could not get me a project on those skills, I am rejecting all the support projects, he threatened me saying people are getting released from company if they are not taking projects,
(I cleared digital few months ago)


Cut to the present-
I am working on L1 Sap support, every day I feel like quitting the company, I might have applied for around 400 companies easily in the past 1 month I received call from 2 and neither had scheduled interview after knowing the notice period, If I dont take a decision now I wont be able to crack interviews later as days pass the experience I need to fake also builds,

My options:
1. I thought I will keep my papers after the current hike and revoke it if I do not get any offer
2. Fight with the current manager for release on the basis of the 2 year contract he recently told, which was not mentioned while I was taken into the project.
3. Do my learnings parallelly and when I get an offer I will leave the company


My current level of understanding in react is moderate, I have done few small projects and I helped one of my friends in his project for some time and I feel that I can crack interviews.

Please give your suggestions, its a life thats going to change if i stay here for 2 more yrs I will come out with 0 exposure and 4 yrs experience.

My final hr round completed on aug 24 and I got verbal confirmation about offer letter. Till now I didn't received OL and status shows decision pending 5th time. One sent one follow up mail. They are stating pre- bgv and internal approval is happening. Any one has any idea about how many days will it take for internal approvals as my role is salesfforce developer

I am a 6.5 year of experience backend engineer currently employed with a US based company that doesn't send people to usa on L1 as far as I know. But I have to go to USA because my fiancee is moving abroad for her studies. I have a decent salary here. Hence, I don't see the need for further studies for myself for career growth. Nevertheless, I have applied to a few colleges there. But I also want to know if there is any way to move to USA through my job as I would really not want to break up due to long distance. Please guide me if you can

I have 10.5 years of experience. Recently h1 got picked through a consultancy. Interested move to the US. What's your opinion/thoughts/suggestion?
Note: currently monthly income from the whole family (me and wife (9.5 exp) is 3.2 lakhs after all taxes) . We save around 1.7 lakhs monthly after all the monthly expenses. I have one kid(3 years daughter). My tech stack is Python, SQL, Pyspark, Azure Data engineering, Lakehouse Architecture.... started a second language as Java currently(interested to learn Rust).
